Those are nice units Kent - I have 2 of them I use constantly.

I saw that. Pretty sure it was you where it was taking a bit long to get the product.... TAS electronics is the people that sell that an they are in Toledo where I live so I was going to call them about it :) I already bought others that are nice but more expensive a while back - SE-2USB: High Power Slim - which are well built. But that's one heck of a deal if they perform. I have a dual near the computer, at my l.r. chair and wife's chair too. Running a JS and a 510 in each. 510's run well off the 1amp juice. Better than the computer imo.

I am using a motorola cell phone car adaptor which had a mini usb which I snipped off and joined a female usb. Works extremely well. As most of my heavy vaping is during the 1 hour morning/evening commutes, this is saving a lot on my batteries. Plus its 5v so the performance is much better than batteries. (using M401s)

Note that this didn't work with Nokia car adaptor nor with another GPS car adaptor that I had. Nor did it work with the USB Car chargers sold for PVs. All three seemed to charge the batteries but not work with the Passthrough as they had charging circuits while the motorola was just plain 5v like any PC usb port.

Kent, I was just going to post that! LOL Markarich159 posted a link to those back in early Sept. in response to what would work with the 5v PS passthrough. I'm glad to see this guy still has them!

I hear they are really well built! For $1.95! Jeeze, doesn't get better than that!! I paid more than that for my cheapo iPod ones from DX ($2.50 ha).

I'm surprised they're still for sale there. They're in my home town - base that is - but ship from Texas. :-|

When I first was looking - back in June, this was the best I found at the time and I did search....

Amazon.com: SE-2USB: High Power Slim AC Wall Plug to 2 x 5V USB Adapter (Retractable US Plug): Everything Else

Not too long after that I started finding cheaper ones but finding out the actual amps is tough. I've seen some where they say they're rated 500ma and on the 'enlarged photo' you can see a 1amp rating! Others seem to blur out the rating on the photo on purpose. lol. Even the Belkin car plug is only 1amp on on side then "1amp peak, 500ma continuous' on the 'quick charge side. I still run a PT through it when both the wife and I are in the car but a true 2 amp dual car plug is here:

usbfever.com - Accessories for USB Gadgets, PC, iPhone / iPod, PDA / Phone Accessories, Charger, Bike / Car Mounts

... takes a while to get that one but it works well and while I was there I thought I'd grab this odd thing:

usbfever.com - Accessories for USB Gadgets, PC, iPhone / iPod, PDA / Phone Accessories, Charger, Bike / Car Mounts

(with the US plugs of course) and sure enough it works! so if a person would just have those they'd have a 'combo' dual 1amp x 2 set.

A deal with fast shipping is at Cignot.com>Home>Accessories>Adapters> wall and car - both single and 1amp for $5 a piece.

Cignot your Midwest Electronic Cigarette store.

The 5Volt can be at 100ma or 2amps + and the amperage is what determines how well the PT works not the voltage. However, the motorola cell phone likely has a 1amp demand so you're probably good. The specs are usually right on the plug - output 5V xxxxma - as JD points out 1amp sometimes listed as 1000ma.

You raise another point that is asked here occasionally - that those others don't work, imo, means that some with the mini usb will not run a Janty Stick charging cord/PT. I don't think they would hurt the JS, just that they might not run it.

I know the Belkin works with both the JS and 510. And that is an iPod charger, plus it's black and has a cool blue light :)

Note: the non corded usb charger for 510 batts will work with that also but because of the widening angle of the case you can't put anything in the other port. The corded usb charger works well when your vaping on the PT on the other port.

Big thing is the voltage and amperage. We forget to check that when we order/buy things.

If you drive a truck or big rig... a standard usb car USB power charger won't work. You need a 12v one. The one from Walgreens works in my truck!

You can also find 12v usb power adapters at Harbor Freight for $4.99 (LOVE this place, last time I spent an hour in there. You can also find cheap multimeters there to test your attys and batteries).

Mentioning "big rig" just jogged my memory Helen.

Some of these items can be easily found at the truck stops. On a long trip, I was switching my GPS & passthrough in a single outlet in the rental car, when it hit me. I stopped into a Pilot Truck Stop, and got a 12v outlet splitter for 5 bucks. They had adapters there too.

Darn!! I wish I would have seen this yesterday - I just bought one at Walmart, but it was almost $30 because it had an AC plug in it, too. I guess I can use it to plug in my laptop on the road (or anything else that needs to get plugged in.) LOL

I LOVE being able to use my passthrough in the car!!

Well, at least now I know where to get a basice USB one for my husband's car.

Kristin;
If it has a 110v outlet in it, you bought an inverter. They're a bit more expensive, but since you already have it, it can be used to plug in a charger too. ($30.00 was a pretty good price for a 110v inverter.) I have one for back-up needs. Never use it, but it's in the console in case I need it.
