USB passthrus no like me!

Ah, finished testing. The front two USB ports hit 1.2a apiece, the back upper two get to 1.4, and the lower 4 get just above 500ma apiece. My add-in usb 3.0 controller is just under 1a, but that's with one of my external hdd's running off of it that stays on all the time.

The only place around here that seemed to have 2amp wall plugs had a 4 slot Enercell one that hits 2.2a with no other devices. It works noticeably better than a fresh battery so it looks like my problem's solved. Well, except the damn thing was over $32 with tax and it's going back as soon as I find a cheaper one...

Wonder if it's normal for the plug-in adapter to make a light hissing noise whenever I press the button though. Never seen that before...

That does sound odd Antok sir, sound is coming from the adapter itself and not the pt correct? The pt does make a sizzling noise no matter what carto you use (more of a gurgle with snap crackle and pop on the cool carts, but also a sizzle).....

Yeah, trust me. The adapter's a foot behind my head. I thought it was my e-cig at first. Sounds just like sucking on a dry automatic battery. Only does that with my e-cig. Maybe it only does that at max draw? IDK, I'm returning this one, getting the $10 one online and checking out the V4L one Smilin mentioned when they come out. Now I gotta go did and see if I still have my other PT. Did some cleaning a few weeks ago...

edit: funny, the noise from the adapter is noticeably lower with the PT and something else charging on it at the same time. Weirder and weirder...
