Would it be okay to just remove the cover for the USB port on the eVic? It's a hard black plastic cover. Both my husband and I are having problems with it opening up and closing it back up. My husband wants to rip his off, but I told him to wait and see what others have to say about it. IDK if it would cause problems with the head or not. TIA!

They are a pain in the ..... There are replacement covers out there for, don't remember exactly where but they do exist. Like mentioned earlier as long as You are not in a dusty/dirty place shouldn't be a problem. As for me I have back-up batteries so I don't use it to re-charge. Also I don't use the MVR so the only time I will need to access the port would be for updates. So as for Me I am thankful it is hard to get out as it won't be flapping around all the time.

Thanks. I might just have to get a couple more batteries for it. I only used the MVR, once for the update and to program it when I first got it.

Hubby ended up ripping his off, but he's able to put it back in. I could only find rubber micro usb covers for cell phones, and they didn't look like they would fit the eVic.

It's a little stiff at first but with time it gets easier to lift up and put back in. Just use the tip of you fingernail and lift.. then turn it to the side. When you want to put it back in, line it up and push down from the top of the cover and it will snap in place. Easy peasy! ;)

Thanks, JoAnn! I just hate how it's the same color as the control head! I have to use my reading glasses to see it!

I don't have nails so I use a toothpick to lift it out, but then it's only for updates.

I didn't have a battery charger when I first got the eVic. Now that I have one, I don't have to bother with using the usb port... just switch out the batteries.

The batteries and charger are on my list for the next time I shop for vaping supplies! ;)
