somewhere out there......
I've notice some the folks here in the V4L community were having issues with there passthoughs. I had bad issue like this once with my M401 passthrough several months back. I learned a value lesson to mostly use my passthrough with one of those USB wall plugs you can get at Wolly world (walmart), bestbuy, circut city and other electronic stores. You can also get multi USB port wall plugs as well. I have yet to have a problem with my VK passthrough using these plugs. Also the other benifit to these if you get the multi USB port wall plugs you can charge your VK and vape the passthrough at the same time. Also they have some that are up to 5 USB ports. So you can charge several batteries and vape at the same time.:):):):):):):):):)8-o

I hope this helps

See computers has a power suply that can have surges when more power may run through it. And if your passthrough is on when this sometimes happens you can blow your passthrough. And depending on the type of computer you use (shall I say a gammer, speed freak or graphics freak) you can have more of these surges. Because you need more power to run top notch video cards, graphic cards, coolers, high end mother boards, Blue ray... all this stuff adds up.... plug n play is good but you have to becareful.

I've had excellent performance from my 401 and 510 PTs using a USB wall adapter available from USB Dual Power Adapter

Great price. $1.95 plus $1.95 shipping. Arrived in one week.

ive used these. work good and they are cheap
USB Dual Power Adapter
runs at 2a 5v

Uncle Bill posted at 5:02, doots at 5:07, close one folks :)

So the 2amps hasn't been an issue?
Killer price no doubt.

Borrowed my sons wall wart from his Iphone a couple of days ago. worked well but the damn thing retails for 25 to 32 bucks. Ridiculous!

The most the passthrough will draw will be about 1.7 amps at 5 volts. This assumes using a carto with a resistance of 2.9 ohms and I have not seen any lower than that. The highest I have seen is 3.6 ohms.

Use ohms law....Take the voltage and divide it by the resistance...this will equal the current. If the adapter puts out 10 amps the carto will still only draw 1.7 amps.

I had recommended this same adapter a while back. Thanks to uncle bill and doots for re-recommending it..:) It's a good choice...you should be able to vape and recharge at the same time using this adapter.

A tip o' the hat to ya gazoo

A person would think that as many times as I've been presented with ohms law over the years along with the several hundred times I've read it on this forum in the last few months... well a person might think I'd get a clue :p

Now, where's that damn credit card....

These are great. And you can just add another $1.95 to a PayPal payment for a 2nd adapter. Same shipping charge.

I was wondering 'bout that exact same thing krowten. I sent an e-mail to 'em last night asking how to order 2, no response yet.

kinda funky order setup, seems as tho tas electronics might be missing potential sales with their current order setup...

On the v4l site, there are two different USB chargers. One is in the super sale section.

Oh, for goodness sakes alive, I should never be up so late and ask a question I knew the answer to but had forgotten.

Months ago, when I purchased the V4Life kit, I received these, so went into my PV storage, and there were 3 of them.

I am my best in the morning, so I'd better stick to that time for asking questions. Feeling silly, I am, I am!

Thank you for responding!

Anyone know what could be happening with the USB wall adapter I received today?

It has all the same #s on the back as the one previously mentioned in this thread so should be ok, but plugging my 901 passthrough into it, only the orange LED blinks, the blue one never comes on so no vapor can ever be made, my passthru works great using the port in my laptop.
Is the adapter bad? Its red light comes on when I plug it in the wall. the seller is agreeable to sending another one but I wanted to ask someone first.

Please say exactly how you did this, I can't see the option to change the payment amount. Is it on the left side where you use a card, or using a Paypal account?

Thank you.

You don't even have to use the website order form. Just send a PayPal payment to tas.electronics@hotmail.com Note in the comment field that it's for 'USB Power Adapter AC Dual Adapter'. Two adapters plus shipping would be $5.85 ($1.95 ea. plus 1.95 shipping). If you want more than two just email him to see if the shipping is more than $1.95.

If you don't have a PayPal account it's easy to set up. Gives you protection as a buyer, and you can send a payment to anyone with an email address. And unlike using a credit card, you can easily change the payment amount and use the comments field to explain what you're doing.

My two adapters were shipped promptly. Had 'em in my mailbox a few days after ordering.
