Mainly coffee and (if i decide to try it) tea comes to mind when thinking of this. I wonder if it would take all of the flavor out. Anyone heard of someone trying this opposed to coffee filters?

That's what I was thinking too. But if i wanted to steep my tea/coffee in water and make it super concentrated i suppose i could filter -> boil -> steep. I just thought it would be cool to use on different flavors to see if it purifies them.If it works at all, I would suspect the activated charcoal would remove flavor.
After all, using one on water removes such "flavors" as chlorine, rust, etc.
I doubt it will work since the charcoal etc is meant to remove fine particles .You may end up with clear watered down pg .
Nothing's wrong. I'm just curious is all.A Brita filter would not work. The multimedia filter would take out most of the flavoring. What's wrong with using a coffee filter?
