I just don't have a need to make bigger batches than maybe 120 ML at the present time and that is only with my tobaccos not my fruit or deserts since I get bored with other flavors but never my tobaccos.
I'm goona have to venture into the tobaccos one day soon. (Diy) I've been on the desserts and fruits for awhile now.I just don't have a need to make bigger batches than maybe 120 ML at the present time and that is only with my tobaccos not my fruit or deserts since I get bored with other flavors but never my tobaccos.
When they invent a gizmo like Steve's frother that's designed with folding/flexible blades that can fit into a narrow-neck 30 ml bottle, I'll buy it.
How are the rpm's on this unit?Try this:

The attachment that looks like a straight stick is actually split. Once you start the mixer the two parts spread out and mix away. I've used it in 30 ml and 50 ml bottles.
How are the rpm's on this unit?
I guess what I meant is the unit pretty strong when mixing or does it slow down alot? Sorry not the actual rpmSorry, not a clue.
Pretty cool!!!I use this...

I saw it mentioned on another thread and ordered one shortly thereafter. I like the fact that the mixing head is small enough to fit in many small bottles. It fits inside my 30 ml glass boston rounds and some of my 30 ml plastic dropper bottles (but not all). Works great in 60 ml and up glass or plastic. I will not foam the mix if you submerge it before turning it on and don't raise it too close to the top of the liquid.
Nice! I see it is currently on sale for $8.00. How long is the stir rod portion when inserted and how often do you find you need to replace it?I bought this lab mini-mixer:
Mini Mixer | Sper Scientific 460001 | Other | Lab Equipment
Cost is $15 with a 10-pack of replacement sticks. The business end of the stick is bifurcated like the Norpro model above, so it flies open when it spins, but it's a bit thinner than the Norpro stirrer attachment and will go down any size bottleneck. I mix right in the bottle; 10 seconds is plenty for homogenizing a 30mL batch.
I think I'll order a spare right now. I had to run out to replace my precision scale yesterday in the middle of a mix session, and it quite damaged my calm. Favorite tools are necessary!
I was looking at it also... the usps priority shipping was one of the cheapest methods I could find and it was $8 also.. Ends up around the $15 mark.. I'm interested in the same questions you have. .Nice! I see it is currently on sale for $8.00. How long is the stir rod portion when inserted and how often do you find you need to replace it?
Amazon has one with the same attachments plus 3 others for $5 as an add on item. Sucky thing is it takes $25 order to add it..lolNice! I see it is currently on sale for $8.00. How long is the stir rod portion when inserted and how often do you find you need to replace it?

The 10-pack of replacement sticks is $7, which I added in when quoting $15 (I didn't apply shipping, so that's extra). The sticks are about 3-3.5" long. I haven't replaced my included stick yet; I just wash it with a little dish soap after a session. It's pretty sturdy. I probably didn't need the extras, but I figured I might want to use different sticks for different flavor types or mixes with tobacco absolute, for example. Turns out that's not really a problem. Those 10 replacements will probably outlast the mixer itself.I was looking at it also... the usps priority shipping was one of the cheapest methods I could find and it was $8 also.. The box mine came in just said "Portable Mini Mixer" and "Made in China." There's no branding on the unit, either. I agree the Sper Direct base unit looks identical to the Norpro, but the sticks mine came with are notably thinner gauge (and they don't have the cuff on the attachment end).Looking closely at the picture, I think it actually is the Norpro but with 10 sticks instead of the mix of attachments.
