Using cartomizers with the ego.

I'm new to cartomizers and still learning so I'm hoping someone can help me out here.

I have a 510 cartomizer for my ego. I want to use the cone because of the ego-t ovale necklace I have requires a cone to hold it on. Can you use cartomizers with a cone? It seems to change the draw on it a lot so I'm not sure if the carto need air and will over heat or anything?

Yes, your Ovale necklace will work fine with the 510 carto and cone but you may not like the draw. Mine gets poor air flow when I use a carto with the cone. However, it works fine with the necklace and the EGO Mega Cartomizer.

Using cartos with the EGO is fine but the cone does fit tighter because of the paper wrapping. I have a Riva 510 that came with a wider cone and it works better so I use a tapered punch to widen my Ego cones to make them draw better.

Worst case scenario you take a metal file to the narrow end of the cone and take off 1/16th, which is what I'm gonna do. They still fit, but it really is a tight fit.
