The e pipe is what is known as a mechanical, when using a mechanical vaporizer the user must ensure they do not over discharge the battery.
An over discharged battery may not ever recharge / recover from being drained too low.

Until you gain enough experience to know by vapor feel / quality when to charge the battery occasionally checking the battery voltage with a dvom / multimeter is the best way to prevent battery damage.

The Ek mini pipe kit comes with a low quality battery and charger upgrading both and using some way to measure battery voltage will improve your vaping experience.

My partner has just started using the Ek-mini pipe after giving up a traditional tobacco pipe for health reasons. The trouble is the charger doesn't seem to be charging properly and stays on red. I think it is a connection problem. Has anyone else had this problem?

Hi Carer1toPuffer, welcome to the forum. Can you give us the exact battery - brand and all the numbers on it please? Also can you tell us a little about the charger you are using and how you charged it, and how long for.

If you can even post a pic of both of them, we might be able to help a little more. I just did a quick search and I'm only seeing generic 'China-blue' batteries with no markings or branding as well as a basic charger.

As the previous poster mentioned, certain batteries you use in that e-pipe can be used below where they will accept a charge. It's quite possible that happened, but it could also be something else.

At the very least we might be able to give you some good advice about possible replacements. If you are indeed using those blue batteries, it would be wise to replace them with a good quality one from a reputable vendor.
