I was one of those out in the cold puffing on cancer sticks for years and I'm no better then them just because I switched to vaping and neither is anyone else. This attitude of being better then smoker's has likely done us more harm then good hell listening to some vapers not just here but elsewhere if I was on the fence now I'd likely carry on smoking just to get up their noses. Really don't understand the superiority some feel now that they vape and it isn't a pleasant attitude to have and certainly does nothing to help our cause but never mind the EU and the FDA are going to resolve that long before the community ever would.

Sorry, but I'm with Andria on this one. I've been vaping, exclusively, for over four years now. I can't handle the stench of cigarette smoke any more and, for that reason, I refuse to vape in "smoking" sections. Like Crxess said, I'll take my money elsewhere if a bar has a problem with my mod. Don't feel like coming home with that stink all over me. It stinks up the whole house for days!

And while I understand the "there's a better way to move through a pack of smokers in an alley", I hafta admit, there's a lot of appeal to clouding them out of my way, too! I've converted a few smokers, I was once a smoker. I'm not completely unsympathetic to them...but a lot of smokers are anti-vaping for no good reason they can give me. Those narrow-minded @__holes are the ones I'd like to cloud outta my breathing area!

Do I look down on smokers, think I'm better than they are? Yeah, I have to admit, sometimes, I do. I had the cojones to open my mind to a new idea. A lot of smokers (not all of 'em!) can't/won't/don't.

Yeah, for a while I was just "well, smoking works fine for me, I don't need anything else." But then we had the coldest winter in 30 yrs; I'd only been an outdoor smoker for 16 yrs, and I was FREEZING! out there, so I just wanted something I could "smoke" in the house! No ideas whatever about quitting smoking. Then I came around here to get info about something better than those lame drugstore disposables, saw all the success stories, and thought, hmmmmmmmmmm...... My only question was, do I have to quit all at once, like with the patch? I was assured that I did not! That was really all I needed to know, before embarking on my "let's see how this works..." experiment.

People who put things down when they don't know the first thing about it, those people are just plain STUPID PEOPLE, and I have no use for them in any capacity whatever. As I've said, my high-PG and low wattage is never going to make big clouds, so protecting myself with my "invisi-shield" (thanks Beck! :D) isn't hurting anybody, but it sure keeps that nasty stink out of MY nose!

You can kill a person by doing that , i just say "pardon me coming through" and if that doesn't work i physically grab them and throw them out of my way , both work.

I have zero tolerance for people clogging my path and although docile and non violent in nature i will kick serious a_ _ if warranted.

"Make A Hole" in a raised voice can often work well too if you got military, former military in a crowd. It's the military equivalent to "excuse me please".

Never understood why people like you think they are far superior to those that still choose to smoke. How do you know your vapor isn't an offensive oder to them? Its people like you that give us a bad name so just squash your ego when you walk in the door before you and the other ignorant vapers ruin it for the rest of us...like many others on this forum I was one of those people outside smoking and if you blew a cloud at me like that I would save my cig .... for your drink later on in the night.

Smoking in a designated smoking area? How dare they?
I happen to agree that vaping should be banned in the same places smoking is. There are some people who are allergic to fragrances and such. And besides, even though the vapor may be less harmful than smoke, it still has nicotine it.

So perfumes and colognes are to be banned on that logic too, yes? Because perfume and cologne set off my allergies worse than any vape I've ever smelled.

That may even be one reality show, I would willing watch. I do not watch reality shows now. Bad enough living in reality, why watch fake reality?

I think vaping is doomed if the pretentious primadonnas in here are any indication.

A. You might want to review the rule regarding 'attack the post, not the poster'

B. Just because I refuse to be lumped in with smokers does not mean I believe myself to be better than them. I stopped smoking for a reason. It stinks, it is horrible for my health, and it's expensive. If a smoker expresses interest in vaping, I'm happy to share information, but I'm not going to stand in the midst of a cloud of smoke and ash to proselytize about vaping. That fact does not make me a prima Donna or the bane of the vaping cause.

Even though your post may not be directed at me i don't see this "i am superior" to you because i vape attitude anywhere, ever. Where is this happening ?

If anything i see the complete opposite where vapors are the ones being attacked and criticized by extremely misinformed smokers.

People need to also realize this thread is filled with extreme sarcasm .

Tomatoes, fries from McDonald's and a myriad of other things people choose to ingest have nicotine in them in the amounts we're talking about do no damage to anyone it really isn't the cause for concern the antz would like us all to believe. Whilst I don't think it's OK to vape anywhere you want there does need to be clear sky between smoking and vaping, they have little in common.
Amounts of nicotine found in food are measured in nanograms. Nicotine in cigarettes and ejuice is measured in milligrams. That's a big difference.

They don't contain a drug...

If nicotine is a drug, the FDA better jump right on regulating caffeine, as it's strikingly similar.

We are talking about a derivative of tobacco, not a drug. Judge Leon was absolutely correct in his assessment of that particular fact.

I'll tell you why. You make it sound like all smokers are these kind, friendly, benevolent people who just don't know about the benefits of vaping. I hate to shatter your pollyanna outlook, but a lot of smokers (once again, not all of them) are rude, arrogant, pains in the you-know-where, who actually consider themselves superior to me because they Smoke!!

Most times in life, when someone insults you, you have to turn the other cheek and move on. It's the only sane way to live. But every once in awhile, a big ol' fluffy cloud right back at 'em (it's hardly deadly..they'll be okay) is the antithesis of turning the other cheek. It's fun, when they look back at you all surprised, because, for once, you gave as good as you got.

You agree you should be met with desdain for finding something that is NOT smoking, simply because others ASSUME it may be SMOKING?
Nicotine has noting to do with anything in your assumption..........beyond a lack of Understanding.

I actually disagree with Banning Vaping anywhere, though I realize it is simpler than Banning ignorant or self serving people with little respect for others.:glare:
