I love my Uwell Crown rba but I'm having issues with it leaking all the time.
Hi Jimmy.
For me, the crown in general has a leaking issue, no matter if i use the rba or the coils that came with the crown.
leaking imho is related to the top filling.
if you fill from below, there much less leaking.
my liquid is 70% vg, 20%pg and the rest is flavor and vodka. ;-)
so not an especially thin liquid.
to reduce leakage when using top filling, do:
- close air flow,
- top fill, close top
- turn the crown upside down
- softly suck at the drip tip
- open air flow
- now turn it to normal position again (drip tip up, afc below).
this does not stop leaking for me but reduces it.
with top filling my coils often drown in liquid (no matter if rba coil or uwell ready-to-vape coils)
if you wick the rba like shown in
and use only bottom filling, there will be less leaking.
i know from other vapors that they have no leaking issues, so it seems only some crown tanks are affected.
imho the taste of the crown does not reach the taste quality of an iJust2 clearomizer with anyvape rba. therefor i won't order a second (and hopefully leaking-free) crown.
there are so many rta tanks out there, i am sure there are better ones (with less leaking/drowning issues);-)
e.g. i ordered an OBS crius v3 (i haven't received it yet).
I did not try the trick mentioned by hsrob1 yet. I'll give feedback if i've done.
auntie edit:
i tried the trick and it did not work at all for me.
it massivly leaked throught the drip tip when turned upside down and then it leaked through the afc when turned upside up again.
my crown has a massive "missing pressure" problem when top-filled or when filled more than 60% of the tank volume.
for me the crown is a big dissapointment and absolutely not recommendable.
happy vaping 2 @ll
