The uwell Nunchaku 2 kit was sent to me by NewVaping for the purposes of the review (thanks) delivery throughout Europe is very fast, on average it takes 2-4 working days, for direct customer support New vaping also uses a Facebook Messenger: Uwell Nunchaku 2 Kit

The new Uwell Nunchaku 2 thanks to the adapter in the kit, offers the possibility of using 3 different types of batteries (18650-20700-21700), with the 21700 it is now possible to reach 100W and have even more autonomy than the original Nunchaku that it reached 80w and used only the 18650 cell.

The Nunchaku 2 has no adjustment buttons, in fact it has only the fire button and a screen, it adopts the innovative six-axis MEMS motion sensor that allows you to make adjustments simply by tilting the device, effectively eliminating the classic procedure with the up and down keys.

Uwell's chip supports VW, TC, TCR and By-Pass modes.

For the occasion, Uwell also created a new tank, also called Nunchaku 2 and with the new mesh-coil with honeycomb structure, it is designed for lung vaping.

    What's in the box:

    Uwell Nunchaku 2 mod

The front side has the screen and the only Fire button, there was a protective film on the screen.

On the back of the mod there is the inscription Nunchaku 2 and Uwell, towards the top of the mod we find the micro USB port.

    3.jpg

The upper part has a spring loaded gold-plated 510 pin and houses atomizers up to 28mm in diameter without protrusions.

The lower part (battery compartment cover) has the inscription Uwell Nunchaku 2, the disposal logo, the C E mark, the Uwell website and has a small battery vent hole in the center.

    4.jpg

In the photo below we can see the inside of the tube with the indication of the positive on the bottom, the screw cap of the battery compartment and the 18650 adapter together with the sound-absorbing packaging material visible in the photo.

Dimensions and characteristics of the Tank Uwell Nunchaku 2
    Dimensions: 29 × 48.3 mm
    E-liquid capacity: 2ml (TPD) 5ml Free version
Compatible coils: original Nunchaku range plus new mesh coils
Top cap with quarter turn screwing / unscrewing refil
    Adjustable lower air flow
    Installation of pressure coils

Below the six components of the Tank, note the Tip with hygienic and antimicrobial insulation band.

    6.jpg

Once the tank is unscrewed with a 1/4 turn, we can access the refill buttonhole equipped with a silicone anti-leak gasket

the airflow slots are three and measure 8x2mm, the bottom of the atom has a slightly protruding gold-plated pin.

    7.jpg

The bell, which is nothing more than the central body of the atom, houses the coils that must be inserted under pressure, with two o'ring for the glass at the top and one at the bottom on the deck.

    Coil UN2 Meshed-H 0.2Ω Kanthal 50-60W (Pre-installed)
    Coil UN2 Meshed-H 0.14Ω SS316L 50-60W

Uwell Nunchaku 2 How it works:

The main screen shows the power settings, the user mode, the coil resistance and there is an icon for the battery charge level.

Once we have chosen the battery with a minimum output of 30A (18650/20700/21700) we can venture to discover this new device.

Five clicks to turn on / off the Mod
To enter the menu and choose the vape mode, three clicks on the Fire button, after which thanks to the MEMS motion sensor we can rotate the device to the left (-) or right (+) to confirm just press the fire button, same thing to raise / lower the wattage, once the VW mode is selected, turn left to lower or right to raise.

    Protections and security.

    - If no atomizer is installed or the resistance has too high a value, the screen indicates: Check Atomizer

    - If the coil is too low, by pressing the Fire button the screen shows a short circuit: Atomizer Short

    - When the battery is low and you still try to vape by pressing the fire button, the power stops and the screen indicates: Low Battery

    - If the PCBA temperature during vaping reaches 80 ° C, the power stops and the screen shows: Over Temp

    - The device is equipped with reverse polarity protection if the battery is mounted upside down, it simply does not work.

In addition, if charging via the USB port, a charging current of up to 2 A (5 V) can be used.

As always, I recommend the use of a separate, good quality charger to safely charge the batteries and extend the useful life of the device.

    Final considerations

    Tank:
The screw cap refill system requires a 90 ° rotation to remove the cap, the refill buttonhole is of good size and has a silicone flappy to avoid leaks, the threads flow well, the coils are compatible with those of the Nunchaku 1, the air flow adjustment ring is smooth to turn without giving the impression of having excessive play, even when the tank is installed on the mod, there is no problem adjusting the ring, with the buttonholes completely closed the air flow is zero and the suction noise does not seem at all annoying

    UN2 Coil Meshed-H 0.2ohm
This is the coil that I tried first as it is pre-installed, its range of use is 50-60 W, between 50 and 55W I found its best performance

    UN2 - Meshed-H coil 0.14ohm
This SS 316L coil can be used with temperature control, this too I have tried between 50 and 55W, as the previous one I find it valid.
    -------------------------------------------------- -----------------------------
    Mod

The external finish in stainless steel has been polished by hand, I really like how it contrasts the slightly opaque silver with the tank so shiny that it looks chromed, but which takes up the same shiny hue of the battery cap.

    15.jpg

There is a slight taper on the shoulder at the top of the mod, so atomizers from 24 to 28mm always fit well.

    16.jpg

The 18650 and 21700 batteries fit perfectly and do not produce banging noises (I do not have a 20700 for this test) the threads of both the atom and the battery cap are of good quality and do not produce jamming, everything runs smoothly.

The fire button has a rough finish and responds quickly to the click.

    17.jpg

The MEMS sensor seems to work very well and has excellent sensitivity, if you perform a single inclination the adjustment takes place in single increments, if you keep the mod inclined, the increments / decrements are very fast, this innovative system works, and it is also fun to use.

This mod will not be very useful for people who want a battery life of two days or who want to vape lung over 100W, but under 60 W I think you can be really satisfied with this Nunchaku 2.

    18.jpg

    I liked it:
    Appearance
    robustness
    Reaction time to fire
Possibility to use various cells without flapping noise
Aroma and Steam of the new coils
    No loss or defect

    Versus
Coils are a bit difficult to pull out
Mod a bit heavy especially with the 21700

I thank New Vaping England for the opportunity it gave me to test this product.
