Its crazy windy here too...and it was freakin snowing then pouring rain then snowing again..oh..and the sun came out in the middle of all that crap. As I look out the window, its blowing snow again. ????

Too funny that this thread would end up talking about road trips....I am having a horrid urge to pack up and run for a week or so. I am going on a 4 day cruise in less than a month, but am now planning a road trip in late summer or fall. I need to spread my parent's ashes and think maybe a long road trip is the way to do it
So.. I can't make this one but ya'll better keep on eye on me....you never know when I might show up at your doorstep

We went to DC once when I was a kid...all I remember is the one way streets all changed directions (inbound in the AM and outbound in the PM), the changing of the guards at Arlington National Cemetary, Smokey the Bear at the zoo and Fonzi's jacket in the Smithsonian. Oh yeah and the Wright airplane (though we had just been to Kitty Hawk, so I am not sure which one I actually remember).....My son is a history buff though....so a vacation is planned

Ms. Nevada there was this awful family on metro one day that was annoying everyone. There were from minnesota and talking loud enough for everyone on the train to hear. One kid pointed out that there was a stop for minnesota ave and they should get off to see it. I piped in telling them to do just that. Minnesota ave is in se dc, it's right before it intersects benning rd... That's the dug and violence capital of area... They got off the train...
Gah I hate my computer. New modem, new router and still my internet goes on and off at will.....guess I need to call the puter guy.
Tourists generally pack their suitcases and leave their brains and manners at home.
I sent a guy to use the bathroom at the casino next door. "Yes, sir, the bathroom is up the escalators, through the double doors, take a left, first door on the right" Don't know if he went all the way there, but I didn't have to deal with him anymore!
(If anyone I supervise or am employed for reads this, I will deny deny deny ever saying it!)
