Katz ....i'm dreaming ....no way hubbys gonna let me go anywhere cept my driving reno trips or to see my aunty in so cal .
Unless i come up with a job like i had ....not likely in this economy ....were paying off all debt cept truck payment .....its not too bad but its gotta be done .Would not be same without you anyway .
its past my bedtime cause i'm old and have to get up early tomorrow

80 degrees down here today YUCK!!! And honey and I are off to Jupiter Beach..where, I'm sure, it's even hotter...
Got the sticks all charged, the egos all charged, tanks all full....a regular duffel bag of just vaping stuff...but I'm ready!
Off to the tailor this morning before the trip to get the old wedding dress tailored...Honey is upset that I found a dress to wear...he thought e was going to get to wear jeans to the wedding....HA...good luck, Bud!!
If you hear an explosion down thisaway, it ain't nuthin but Muther getting the wedding invite...she's going to go ballistic when she finds out that her attorney son is marrying THAT woman...the one whose folks were coal miners, and not on the social register....my Devious Mind is thinking of new ways to push her buttons....

Son is "giving me away"...but it's more like taking the hefty bag to the curb...HA. jk

Good grief, Via! My Grandmother (mother's side) and aunt have been involved in that and tried to get me interested (just not for me). I think the older generation, like "Muther", regards DAR in an inflated way, as if people can help what they born from? As if it's a caste system? ....Not that they don't do helpful and interesting things. But: I think you should just casually mention that in conversation one day.......

Actually, I live in Kansas City, Missouri (the KC that everyone means when they say "Kansas City"). It's right ON the Kansas Coast.
(I live about 4 blocks east of State Line Road. The northbound lane of State Line is in Missouri, and the southbound lane is in Kansas. I am not making this up.) I believe the actual dead center of the Lower 48 is Topeka, Kansas -- about 1.5 hours west of me. And Topeka has no great hotels or restaurants -- so Chicago/Lisa's house it should be! If you think the DAR is bad, you should check out a meeting sometime of the DoC (Daughters of the Confederacy)!

Cali's is "native daughters of the golden west " and Sons ....here they actually do alot of good charity work ,amongst other things . My former boss is very involved ...trys to get me all the time ....i'll join when i'm older as they do seem to have a lot of fun and travel .I like it because hubby "rolls his eyes " lmao .
Yes, DAR is involved in a lot of good charitable causes also. I just know what my aunt has told me about the less than charitable behavior of many of the women in her chapter. Infighting and ego trips and general ....chiness abound. She finally dropped out of it a few years ago for that reason......
Someone is grilling out and smoke is coming in my windows. Dinner at 10:30 at night....... people think it's summer with this crazy weather. The robins do too; they have come back to join their few friends that stayed over the winter.

No doubt Lisa ,i would think that could be very stressful .DId you ever see "gilmore girls " series ? her ultra rich society mom was in DAR .Oh boy .. I am sure there are politics in all these things but Sharon has not had a problem even as a long time officer in this cali version .I'd just be a silent member sheesh almost bedtime already !

I didn't sleep last night. I finally gave up at about 2:30, went back to bed at 4:30, got up at 6:00...... and I don't even really feel that tired. I think maybe a glass of wine might help knock me out

Whoever said you need less sleep when you age is full of it ,i need MORE .I was so excited thinking i'd be one of those super achiever 6 hour sleep people ,not .
Last nite i said to hubby "this is bs lets get me a job in san jose and go back to the city ,he said hell no he is not paying those rents ever again ...torn because i love it here but miss my city peeps .tis life .

Good Morning V4Lers. I woke up a lot last night but its because it was crowded.Had Me,the Hubs,Daughter and 2 dogs in the bed,LOL! Part of me likes the crowded feeling. The other part of me wants to sleep and needs space. Oh well!
