So V4L no longer sell Mountain Dew. I tried emailing them and filing a ticket with no success. I only spoke to someone on the lower end of the company and when asked to speak to someone higher up was told that I would but no answer.

Here's the deal, they sold a juice that 8 people here in Seminole just absolutely love. I spent time trying to recreate this flavor DIY with no success. All I was trying to do was strike a deal with V4L and buy a large quantity of Mountain Dew (which they told me they discontinued due to inpopularity) which I could then distribute among my friends. I figured this arrangement could be arranged as they could buy their bulk and pass it all if not most of it to us.

In short all I want is one of these three things:
To get in touch with someone at V4L,
Get the recipe of the juice,
Or Know who their supplier is if they buy it from someone else. Even if you have a hunch about who their supplier may be that is good enough for me. I'll follow the chain up to the source.

Now let me stop you before you recommend someone who sells 'a good Mt. Dew flavor'. They all taste the same except for V4L's. A unique flavor we can't afford to give up. It was more than just Mt. Dew to us.

I'm glad someone likes it...when it first came out, I rushed to order it! But when I tried it, it tasted...well, to me it tasted like poppurri. Unfortunately, I'm one of the ones that tastes alot of the floweriness in a majority of the fruity flavored juices :(

I also loved this juice. Other Mountain Dews from the usual USA made suspects don't taste as good and irritate my throat (anything with DIY lemonade flavoring in it irritates my throat and you can tell other Mountain Dews use the DIY lemonade in them). It is very floral so I understand why some don't like it.

Anyway, I would bet it is discontinued and they just still have a stock of 5ml bottles left. You won't have any luck getting the formula because it is a Dekang liquid that has had the flavor custom-adjusted for/by V4L. That is my understanding anyway. V4L flavors aren't something you can put together with DIY supplies.

Everything you said in the second paragraph has been confirmed by Chad. I finally got in full contact with them :D
So yes this is the end of this mountian dew.
Also I guess me and my friend dont taste the floral taste heh. How lucky ^^

Sallyem has made many very informative and helpful posts, and apparently she has an excessively cute dog, so I mean no disrespect. But I say go a head and frown then.

Anything that hinders the free flow of worthwhile information, whether it be communism or etiquette, is frowned upon by me. And I've never heard V4L say that (I'm sure they think it when other suppliers are recommended), probably because they know nobody likes a totalitarian.

If a topic turns into something where suppliers are worth discussing it would be just silly to go restart the topic in the general forum just to avoid mentioning other suppliers in a supplier-specific sub forum.

Now here I am on a rant because apparently I missed some interesting information that I don't care enough about to go PMing. Sorry about that I guess.

I'm still wondering what McVapor said before the edit as well...still haven't received a reply from my pm. I remember when I first joined the V4L sub-forum, there was such a wealth of information. People would discuss juices, among other things, not offered by V4L simply to help out one another. Its not about trying to advertise for other companies, its about keeping us all off analogs. A few of the older vets that used to post here have gone away or simply refrain from posting for the very reason of how they feel like they're getting persecuted for simply trying to help people. Why would someone continue to offer useful information when someone's going to make them feel unwanted for giving it, right?

I'm getting rather sick of "walking on egg shells."

You PM'd me MrHyde? I mentioned a good supplier for non-floral tasting flavors. I actually agree with uzzaperez, I love V4L and I'm not putting them down. I am merely recommending to MrHyde that Dawn from DIYflavorshack can help you out with your floral tasting problem. She has mostly pastry and specialty flavors that V4L doesn't have thus can't rival each other. Try to get in touch with Dawn, shes the nicest lady :)
