As did I. Haha. She took out a meatball and broke it up. Which solved another issue of her not eating.

As a former dog handler/shower/breeder, I just push the pill down the throat, close mouth quick and blow gently into nostrils till they swallow. Best method for dogs, unfortunately doesn't work well for cats.

do the aluminum caps get etched with the acid juices?

No, they won't. The juices aren't really very acidic. It's just a reaction to acrylics. Non-acrylic plastics (polypropylene, Delrin etc.) don't react to those juice flavors.
