Get the passport!!! I would love to get paid to travel!

That's what i'm trying to do now. I'm calling up everybody i know for a bit of assistance (did i mention i HATE doing that) because that would be almost my whole paycheck (i haven't been getting a lot of hours lately) which means no groceries or any thing. The sad thing is my parents owe me over $500 but i just cant call in on that debt. And i feel wrong to ask my brother because even though he's a marine he and his wife have 6 kids. So those options are out. I have to get this passport application in ASAP though to get this job. MAN i want this job.
Ok i can do this!!!!!! I will eat ramen noodles for the next two weeks if i have to!!!!!

(Sorry to vent to you guys but your support really helps me more than you know)

1. I agree, get the passport. You can do it, and it will be SO worth it if you get the job! I'm cheering for you!

1. I believe the Tolkien books to be in the public domain. Apparently it's the pictures referenced on their website of the film characters that brought the trouble. At least that's my take from lurking in the HHV threads.

4. I believe you're correct. Going back to the Alice in Vapeland example, the company was smart not to use images from the Disney or Tim Burton movies. HHV using Lord of the Rings images from the movies wasn't smart. It was only a matter of time until the lawyers called. Again, I'm surprised it took this long.

Ramen is really good! Many varieties available. And for just a few dollars more, you can spice them up with some really good recipes found online!

You can do this!!!

5. Big fan of real ramen. It gets a bad rap in the U.S. because many people think of it as the 25-cent noodles we ate in college when we had no money. Fresh ramen is just delightful. I love the place in Japan where you make your menu selections outside in a vending machine, get a ticket, go to the counter, plop the ticket down, and quickly get your food. If you're ever in Southern California then I highly recommend stopping by a Shin Sen Gumi restaurant for ramen.

I have been withholding entering contests where the prize is a tank because my experience is so limited that I had no idea what one was! LOL Now that I will be getting some 510-threaded equipment and have seen a tank being used in person I feel confident entering this contest with the confidence that if I win I can actually use the prize! Yeay!!

@ "Locovamp87" - Since you asked - and although you have already gotten some good responses - JUST "My" . . .

In this economy and with so many people looking for work . . . Given that you haven't even interviewed for the "Flight Attendants" position and without having something IN WRITING offering you a NEW JOB . . . DO WHAT YOU NEED TO DO . . . BUT - Stay with the JOB you have (IT IS BETTER than NO JOB and NO SALARY) and apply for the "Passport" (Which takes quite some time now and "You" may or may not get) . . .

Also - Then if the "NEW" JOB that you interviewed for comes through and it pays more and "You" WANT IT - TAKE IT, especially while "You" wait for your passport application to be approved (but do not tell anyone where you work {Old JOB or New JOB} - That "You" are applying for a passport and waiting to hear about a non-exsistant "Flight Attendant" JOB - BAD MOVE ) . . . When and IF the "Flight Attendant" interview and JOB comes though - THEN Give 2 weeks notice, not before (They will probably let you go at that time anyway) . . .

More Importantly, remember one thing that has become a reality today - Unless "YOU" Are Already Working - there are many companies that will not look at your application/resume or even give you a chance to interview . . .

Now - Just as a suggestion, while I know it is hard to even ask people for any assist, might I suggest that instead of asking one person for the "Passport Application" Fees and depending on how many people you know . . . How about asking your friends and family to help you by loaning or contributing some of the money you need - that way the Passport Application for an Adult Passport & Card & Execution Fees that total $165.00 are much easier to get, if say there are 16 people willing to do this - $10.00 each . . . or even 8 @ $20.00 each . . . IMO - SO much easier then trying to get the whole $165.00 from one person, especially when someone may not have that amount and money is so tight . . .

Just a thought . . .
