My history teacher is pretty cool.

Check out these projects, i have to do two of these.

PICK ‘EM ASSIGNMENTS:
You must complete two of the following assignments during the course of the semester:
1. Playlist: Construct an album of songs which reflect on the history we are discussing in class. You
may focus on one of the big themes or, if you are ambitious, may select a theme of your own
choosing or even a more specific event. You will then select 7 to 12 songs for your playlist with an
explanation as to why each song was selected and how it applies to the historical theme/event. You
will submit the songs/explanations and an album cover of your own design for credit.
2. Book Review: You will write a 4‐5 page historical review of a book of your own choosing (which
addresses some aspect of this course’s topics). The review should not only address plot and style,
but more importantly should analyze the strengths and weaknesses of the historical argument. MLA
format preferred.
3. Children’s Book: You will write (and ‘illustrate’) a 10‐15 page children’s book on some historical
topic that fits into the timeline of this class. Your objective is to make the material accessible to a
1st‐3rd grade reader while still offering an honest historical analysis. Don’t be scared by the 10‐15
page framework ‐‐‐‐ think about the writing in many early childhood books.
4. Website Development: Design an Informative Website Exploring a Global History Topic. It does
not need to be anything flashy or over‐the‐top, but should offer a simple lesson on a basic historical
topic.
5. Dress‐Up and Present: You will dress as a person (real or anonymous) from an era we are
discussing in this course. You will then do a short 10‐ minute presentation explaining who you are,
what you do, and why you (or those like you) are important.
6. Film Review: You will write a 4‐5 page historical review of a film addressing not only its plot and
production values, but more importantly its historical veracity and usefulness for understanding
the Global story. MLA format is preferred. You must clear a film of your own choosing with the
instructor.

So I'm considering the virtues of making a Dr. Seuss illustrated version of the French Revolution... and maybe a metal soundtrack to the same.

#1 I hope everyone is doing well. I haven't been on here much at all this week, unfortunately. Been busy giving therapy to my step-son's mom. She's going through a very nasty divorce.:(
I am currently doing a coffee extraction for my DIY. I hope it turns out delicious. I've been chasing the perfect coffee vape forever.
