Chit Chat (and bump!) -- Does anyone have any refrigerator recommendations? I'm moving into a new place next month and I'll have buy my own. I'm not looking for anything fancy -- just something inexpensive that will last for five years or so.

Go to BestBuy or one of the appliance stores and see if they have a scratch and dent or a floor sample they'll sell at a discount. I got a Roper 20 cu ft for $299 because it had a scratch down the side you cant see unless you pull it out and look. 20 yrs later and still keeping beer cold in the garage.

5.

Well I just bought a fridge last month. Got a Fridgidaire from Lowes for under a grand. If you want something for cheap and aren't to concerned with looks maybe see if there is a scratch N Dent place by you or inquire if the store has a scratch/dent deal. Sometimes you can get some really good deals on just a minor cosmetic blemish. Just a thought....

I too like Rpads reviews. Especially because he reviews some odd flavors like the Filipino juices that i never even knew about.

slow day at the office, but not a miserable one! the mr. mondays seemed to skip me today in its persistence, and left me unafflicted. left over Vietnamese food for lunch, and a few minutes playing with the boy. His 5th tooth is coming in today and he is content in letting us know just how uncomfortable it makes him. he was awake every 1-2 hours last night screaming and crying in what i can only assume is teething related pain. poor boy, he has no words to describe what ails him

FWIW, when I had my son we gave him some homeopathic teething tablets that seemed to help. I think it was Hylands brand available in most drug stores.

Scratch and dents can be great bargains, but Rpad doesn't strike me as a scratch and dent kinda guy. Have you seen his mods? I dream about his mods. They are gorgeous.

Chit Chat: I am totally a scratch-and-dent when it comes to things like large appliances. Things that are precious to me: my mods, my coffee brewing gear, my MacBook, and my phones. I take great care of those things (except maybe for my Silver Bullet, which has become my go-to mod when I'm drinking). My other possessions? Well, there's a reason I have shirts that date back to 1998. Ha!

Hey there Ray! Good to see you here!

Enjoying the down time?
Still hard at work, have probably the rest of this week before I'm caught up enough to finally start the vacation.
I still pop in here and try to read all the posts, just not here as much as often as I used to be.

Chit Chat: I'm surprised that it's taken this long considering that I'm a generally clumsy fellow, but today I got e-liquid in my eye for the first time! I've been breaking my no-dripping-at-the-PC rule and managed to get a dab of juice in my right eye. It was...unpleasant. On the plus side, at least I wasn't vaping anything with cinnamon, citrus, mint, or menthol in it. Ha! I think it's Triple V Sidewinders by the PC from now on.
I filled cartos using the condom method 3 times. I was blowing the excess liquid out of a carto and it flew back in my eye off the paper towel. That was very unpleasant to put it mildly. Using all VG now I have to use a syringe now anyways, and my eyes appreciate it too.

Ha! I have him beat by 2! Yes 31 nieces and nephews out of 6 siblings. Go figure! rofl

One bother is the main culprit - he just couldn't stop having kids. And yes, before you ask, all from the same wife. Eighteen kids.
I think "they" know what causes this. ;)

My uterus just flinched
There are many things that can cause this.

I picked one up on pre-order the day Joe blogged it. Pre-order is sold out now. They better be real...:?:

Nice to see you in here! I won't get many chances to quote you and say "Thanks for doing all that you do!":)

In other news, my vape ship came in today while I was working...

05/06 Entry #4 . . .

05/06 #4

Not speaking, breathing, or blinking too loudly would be a good place to start

EXACTLY - What I did when I worked at a couple of Different Women's Health Clinics . . . More importantly, since it seemed that the majority of Women there had "linked" up with each other at that special time of the month - I wasn't gonna be stupid and just hang out - I took a few days OFF . . . 1 or 2 Women Fine - A Group of more than 20+ Women all at one Time . . . Nope - NA DA - Not Happening . . . Just Sayin' . . . ;)

UNCLE!! 29 nieces and nephews!?
how do you keep track, i would have a hard time remembering that many names! let alone bdays and such!

Yep - Also If I remember correctly - I posted that Info once before . . .

BTW: That number includes Nieces/Nephews, Great Nieces/Nephews, Great-Great Nieces/Nephews . . .

Oh, as for having a Hard time remembering . . . Nope - I DON"T remember most of their names, matter of fact I only learned about a few of them just in the past couple of years and worse I really never remember Birthdays anyway, especially of some of the Nieces/Nephews since I wasn't told most of the time when they were born . . . Just that they are here . . .

Oh Well, Guess Ya' can tell "We" are not a very close family (for a number of reason and we'll just leave it at that) . . . :glare:

Ha Ha . . . "My" mother gave Birth to 8 Children (1 Died at Birth) - The Original Family consisted of 6 Siblings too (2 Girls & 4 Boys) starting with the eldest who is 9 1/2 years older then "Me" each child is separated by 1 1/2 each until I was born then there is 2 1/2 years difference (In between the Brother died) - Then "My" little Brother from another father who is 9 1/2 years Younger . . . Now out of them only 4 of my siblings (the 2 Girls & 2 Brothers) had children (8 in total) - which lead us down the path of all the other Great / Great-Great Nieces/Nephews . . . ;)

NOW - For something that I find to be a very interesting fact with most families and the birth of their children . . . Take the date of the Child's Birth - go back in time approximately 9 Months - What is the date . . . Was it near or on a "Special Day" or "Major Event" in the Parents Life - a Birthday/Death, Anniversary, etc. . . . Just Sayin' . . .;)

If you live near a military installation you can usually pick up a fairly recent model that is still efficient for a good price on CraigsList.

My Special Day" would have been Valentine's Day. :D

My parents call me the oldest, youngest and an only child. Youngest of all the siblings put together, but I am a product of a second marriage for both of them. So I am the oldest of that marriage and they tell me I am more like an oldest responsible child, not to mention the nieces and nephews started arriving about 9 months after I did. Hence the oldest and the youngest. The sibling in age I am closest in age to is 9 years my elder, so really after I was about 6 or 7 I was the only child at home, so an only child.

I am surprised no one caught my spelling error in my original post "One bother was the culprit". I meant brother, but well, on second thought bother seems to fit just as well! :D

FWIW, when I had my son we gave him some homeopathic teething tablets that seemed to help. I think it was Hylands brand available in most drug stores.

Thanks for the info! The woman who runs the daycare Levi goes to a couple days a week said the same thing. Like little natural teething pellets. It seems to be a worthwhile purchase, and really, anything that soothes or alleviates his discomfort I will buy en masse. Hylands? I may just scoop some up on the way home! Walgreens is the drug store on my way.
What helps Levi sleep, helps me and momma sleep :)
