I plan to use two stacked 18350 batteries most of the time with the 18650 as an occassional use and backup. I'm planning on getting the EH - IMR batteries in both sizes from MadVapes. My question is should I order flat top or button top batteries or does it matter at all? And if flat top, do you need to use a metal spacer?

Thanks for the advice.:)

Several people have reported having difficulties getting the battery cap on with stacked 18350 button tops yet others have no problems. Flat tops are probably the safest bet for stacking as far as fitting correctly goes. However, AW does not seem to make 18350 flat tops so you will need to get Efest 18350s.

What is your reason for going stacked? Do you vape at a high wattage or use high resistance atomizers?

Klondikes

I use 1.5 ohm dual coils at about 12.4 watts or 4.4 volts. I want to get the full potential out of the device. I don't see stacking as an issue as long as you know how to match the batteries and have a protection circuit in the device.

Thank you all for your replies and guidence. The ones I was looking to get from MadVapes are these:

IMR 18350, LiMn 800mAh Battery

Does anyone think I should look at different ones? Obviously these are button tops. Any suggestion where I can get Efest flat tops at a decent price?

I don't know anything about EH batteries.
I did read the description and saw it's length as 36mm.
I have both AW and Efest bats that work stacked in both of my Vamos. They are 35mm long.

If the 36mm description is correct they may not fit.

THAT is a good reason for stacking, which is not an issue to me either. It is evident that you know what you are doing. Enjoy.

Thank you all for your advice. I decided to get these and a 18650, also:

Efest IMR 18350 800mAh 3.7V LiMn Battery Flat Top or Nipple Tops (2PCS)

I got the flat top in both. They came with free shipping which saved me $3 - $4.

Thanks for the link, I ordered some flat tops as this price can't be beat for these batteries that I've found in the USA. Now I can stack my Vamos and the battery cap should close all the way. Sort of off topic but the mini lavatube battery cap also doesn't close all the way with the button top 18350's.

Wow, Welcome to the Vamo Forum wv2win,

As a I've understood you to be die hard Fan of The Darwin, how do you find the Vamo compares?

Well, I don't know yet because I'm still waiting on the batteries to arrive, lol. To be honest, I'm getting the VAMO as my backup to my Darwin. But, who knows, it may turn out to be the other way around. I have grown use to the Darwin laying flat on my desk, etc and not worrying about it rolling off a flat surface as some of my previous PV's did. And I like the USB charging capability of the Darwin so I never have to carry extra batteries. I will probably use both on a regular basis.
