had it for two weeks - chrome. has new gold spring, etc. Changed battery 18650 to fresh as normal. Turned it on, took a couple hits and it stopped. NONE of the buttons work. Changed several already used charged batts so I know they work with it. Display flashes once per second - no buttons work. Will not turn on or show any readings. Also changed cartos. Nothing works. Except my Provari's.
Any ideas?

Sorry to hear about your dead Vamo. These are the stories that we don't want to hear but appreciate your post. We all know that these are "mass" produced by numerous manufacturers in China and you never know who or where it was made. It appears that this may be just a wire that came unsoldered, but it very well could also be a circuit board problem. Those are the only two items that could possibly go bad if you have ruled out the batteries.

Most of us have been hoping that this mod will keep us vaping for a long time. Personally I do not like the looks of the ProVari, but the reputation for a solid device seems to be indisputable. I am hoping the ProVari will come out with one in plain brushed stainless steel. That might push me to upgrade.

I had a Vamo that died a couple of days ago. I just assumed I pushed on an Atty too tightly on it and pushed the connector down too much or broke a soldering connection. At $40.00, a price that can be found quite easily for a Vamo, I bought two of them. If they last over four months, I figure I get my money out of them. If longer, I'm really in the black. So I just pulled the other one out of the drawer and am more careful how tightly I screw anything else onto it. By the time the second one dies, there will be a better cheaper on on the market that will be the next best thing. Onward and upward.
