OK, forgive me for this, but I just want to clarify before I pull the trigger - If I buy the v2 from vaporbreak, will it come with the "newer, new" spring or not?

At the bottom of the Vamo page VaporBreak state:

Again please note;-
This unit may not fit all 18650 batteryies. Users speak of some adjustmetnt to the spring (we do not recommend this) or using a magnetic spacer to make the connection.

UPDATE: We can confirm the factory has extended the spring to suit most 18650 batteries much better!

it can also be easily shortened and used with most 18350 batteries. if the batteries are older and the settings are wrong you may get a Lo warning and require better suited batteries.

I'm not sure if this spring is the same spring offered at Health Cabin, I'd get a Hot Spring just in case.

Sounds like 'board shift'. You may need to pop the top & reseat the board. A few dabs of hot glue will fix that in the future.

hehe, Sounds like someone has been too busy with the clicky clicky? :D ;)

I have found the same thing happening to mine, the top right button is just not listening to my thumb unless I apply more pressure.

I personally haven't had any luck "popping my top" so to speak. I've banged, pried, pushed, pulled, used some pliers, then bigger pliers, then vice grips, then bigger vice grips, then a vice, then a hammer, then a bigger hammer, and still can't get that darn top off. There's a video out there by Rinoserious on how to get it off but his "wiggle" method didn't work for me. I ended up going in through the bottom where the battery makes contact at the top. Got some needle nose pliers in there and just ever so gently turned the circuit board and my buttons were nice and clicky again. Works like brandy new.

If you do try either of these methods be very careful. That circuit board can and will break with too much pressure.

My Vamo from VB came with the old, useless spring. Bought extra cap with new spring from HC.
Wierd mine came with the good spring i purchased from the same site but I got the "Kit" which is total crap the batteries broke within a week would not hold a charge the cheapo charger still works but out of everything ordering the kit was nice because it comes in a spiffy magnetic box with the vao sitting a a little foam bed lol also it came with a manual with ok english and COLOR pictures WOW LOL
But yeah maybe they had some non kit models that still had the old button

The reason why i purchased the it was because i had no batteries and while shopping around it was the best price but ended up being the same after i ordered some AW batteries and another charger (the wall wart like charger was iffy to me) so it ened up costing me $10 extra buying the "kit" although i use the box for vaoe stuff lol

Almost all the batteries that come in kits are crap, with a few exceptions like the eVic battery which is okay. Also, the chargers that come with kits are always crap that will damage your batteries by overcharging them. I never buy a kit. I just buy the mod bodies and buy quality batteries and have an Intellicharger I4 charger (v2) which is a great charger.

Wanted to post when everything came in the mail, but I had a really busy week. Ordered the VAMO on a Friday from Smoktek.com, and it was in my mailbox Monday morning. Amazing. I was dancing around like I had the golden ticket, telling everyone who would listen about my new mod. Got my skins in from vaporskinz a few days later. Finally, it's my day off so I can post a picture. I saw someone post about how they had gotten a clear carbon fiber skin to go over a digi camo one, but I can't seem to find it now, so I don't know who to thank for that idea. Anyway, I got a Cthulhu skin and a clear one to go over it, and I'm very satisfied with the way it looks and feels. Definitely recommend getting a clear carbon fiber to go over any skin you get. What do you guys think?

I'm still using my old, beat up Artemus tank while I wait for my Trap Tank to come in. I'll probably post again when my masterpiece is completed :D

Sorry about the small picture, I'm not sure how to get a bigger one like the post above.

zOMG!! Awesome... Did you have any problem aligning the different segments? Is the wrap made without 'gaps' where the Vamo's segments are?

The small part was easy to align with the larger part. I had difficulty getting the top section on straight, took four tries (btw, still stuck like a charm after repeated applications). There is a small gap between sections, but it doesn't look tacky or anything. Another thing, the clear skin for the top part was a tiny bit longer than the mod, so one may need to trim that with a razor blade. I just have it tucked into the threads in these pictures because I don't have any blades lying around. Need to get some of those.

I really like that clear carbon fiber over Cthulhu. Makes the Dread one look even more ethereal... and ominous. 8-o

Ph'nglui mglw'nafh Cthulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn!

Yeah it looks great by itself, but the clear skin takes it to a whole 'notha level. Absolutely loving the feel of it, too. Couldn't be happier with it, really.

Got my VAMO last night I cannot believe the differnce! you would think that power is power but this is was better. I am running CE4's with RY4 and Carmel Apple now and I am in watt mode at 4 to 4.5. so any sugestions for a VAMO Noob?

Switch it to RMS mode for more accurate vaping. Hold either small keys for more than ten seconds. NO1 is AVG mode, NO2 is RMS mode.
