Are you sure you're running in RMS mode? Running in mean/average mode will make it run hot. Read here to see how to check and change it: If you vamo is burning/over powering READ THIS!!!

I am sorry, maybe the question was not properly phrased. My question is this, the negative current is transmitted to the motherboard via the body of the Vamo, then there is a screw in the head of the vamo with a soldered wire that transmits the (-) to the mobo, sometimes for many reasons the current transmission through the body of the vamo or because the screw loosens there is no proper (-) contact and the vamo gives an error 02. So, my question is, if instead of using the normal design I can just solder a wire from the bottom (-) battery contact to the screw so the connection doesn´t fail.
