Oh... But the version 3 body is so much better, it has a removable top cap.
Some people think the V3 is ugly, they don't like the pattern on it. Personally, I don't mind it at all.
The V3 body is sooo much better looking. The swirls hide all the horizontal lines going across the unit. I think some people need to see it in person.
IMO the v2 is dull and plain. I own both, v2 for work, and v3 for everything else. I wouldn't mind having v3 bits in my v2, but I like having the removable top cap. Annnnnd both sections come off also.
Since you're the first one I've seen to actually get one I have a question. Is the top cap removable like the V3 or is it the same as the V2 making it problematic if not able to use some of the eGo threaded devices?
the top cap is not removable however they increased the size of the well to allow easier ego threading. Also I got the v4 so I had a V3 internals and could get R2D2 jwrap without swirly indentations along it. =D
It looks alot worse in pictures and that is what people see. In person the swirls are no where near as noticeable but gives it a much more sleek appearance. alot of people have said once they saw it in person they had a completely different opinion about the looks
I got a VAMO4 yesterday and mine looks like a stainless steel version 2 with a version 3 OLED screen. The 510 threads are "sketchy" to say the least.
I "worked on it" with a pair of pliers and made it where, at least, I can get my Protanks to tighten down. Not worth the hassle of trying to send it back. Probably would get another one just like this one. They're pretty much "disposable" anyway.

The pictures DO make the Version 3 look fugly.
But personally, I only like any of the Vamos in the Stainless. I think the chrome is cheesy looking, personally. I like the Gun Metal A LOT, but it rubs off within days so..
I love my V3 Vamo. but you know, I didnt really fall in love with it right away. It wasn't until I started using it in Mini-Mode, ie-with an 18350, that I started to really love this thing. My Mini V3 SS topped with a rebuildable, which I coil to 2-2.5ohms for the Vamo, is a wonderful vape. Ive got MUCH more expensive, more exclusive, more cool PVs, but my mini vamo sits right next to everything else, every day.
Honestly for $50, there IS nothing better. There is CLOSE, such as the SiD, but the versatility and capability of the Vamo V3 is unmatched for $50.
how have your experiences been with fasttech? was thinking of giving them a shot. price is right.
Shipping is slow 10 days or so, watching the tracking page will drive you crazy as once it gets here to the states it sits for what seems to be 3 days or more before it moves again.
For the most part, they've been fine (no DOA/incorrect items so far, all items wrapped very securely). Shipping from Hong Kong has been a bit problematic recently, but it's not Fasttech's fault.
