I always used which ever 18650 batteries I had laying around. ranging from aw's and efest's. The biggest thing for me was getting a higher mah usually around 2000mah for longevity. Im a heavy vaper and would need 2 batteries a day. My wife still uses her vamo and uses 1 18350 800mah efest all day, but is a much lighter vaper then me.
Everyone's been having real problems getting batteries shipped from China where Fasttech is at. AW and Efest batteries and a Nitecore Intellicharger i4 are what I use.
I'd grab some AW brand if I was in the market. There's not a lot of difference in price, and they seem to perform better than the stock batteries that came with my Sigelei.
That's exactly what I just received yesterday. I ordered them with a new V5. Seem to work great so far. I blew my budget so I got a trustfire tr-001 charger for now. I like the charger, but next month's budget has an allotment for a nitecore i4. I ordered everything from the same vendor linked above. Shipping was great. Ordered Tuesday morning. Shipped from Boise Idaho to upstate SC and had in my hand Friday. In my excitement I just popped one in the Vamo to try it out, but then quickly took it back out to charge both new batteries completely. This is where the new charger comes in. Mine does the job, no complaints there, but it doesn't do it fast when set to the lower 3.0V setting. I personally always charge batteries low and slow and never unattended.
I haven't got them yet, but I also ordered THESE to use the smaller form factor of the V5.
