    No you can't
    I have a V2 and got a V5 month now.

V5 has better features then V2 - I like that the middle section screws on now not like the V2 push on use to come off on me.

V5 top screws on and off.

What I don't like with V5 the display lettering is smaller and be an older guy my eye's are not what their use to be; it a big pain to have to putting on my reading glass to see what it says. The V2 is nice and big never have a problem reading the display. As much as I like the V5 and want another I won't order one to dam much of a problem reading the display. Other than that it's great.

If I can get V2 inners cheap I'll buy it and put in the V5.

Have hard time seeing V5 is not for you.

Ps. Instruction don't tell you, but you can switch in and out of MEANS and RMS mode by holding down the left button and waiting it takes about 20 - 30 seconds. It's recommend to use RMS mode.

I have a v2 and a v3. I got the v2 10 months ago in stainless steel from fast tech and it is my daily 18650 battery. I like the larger display. The v3 I got 8 months ago and is occasionally used, almost always in 18350 mode. The LED is much smaller, and the bat is overall lighter weight. I do like being able to remove the top when I have a stubborn topper that doesn't want to unscrew. I use egos for daily work/travel use.

I also have a MVP 2 that gets almost no love from me. I have no idea why the vamo v2 is my go-to. It's almost as if I have some sort of emotional attachment to it. It just feels.....right. :)

I have it now and I do like it but it's a beast to carry around. I now use it mostly just at home. I'm not yet into mods and not sure if I'm really ever going to be into the mods. My daily now is still an eGo c twist that still keeps on going and going and going.....I'm still looking around for something small that delivers....

You can use it in short mode with a 18350 battery, plus when you use it in short mode, the tube you took off from the bottom can screw on the top to protect your glass tank.
