After having used the Vamo V2 for a good long while i decided to get my self a v5. There really is a world of difference, so I will break this up into sections top to bottom.

Top: One problem I have with every single mod I touch, and every atty I put on a mod, is flushing. I like my stuff to be tight and flush, if it is not tight and flush against whatever it is connected too, that is room for breaking. So the top cap on the Vamo allows me to make things nice and flush. I put my thread protector (actually called an airflow controller from Vermillion River Vapes) onto my Vamo, then my Igo-W on that. Flush, sturdy, no wobble or wiggle, and about 150% safer if dropped. Of course, you don't need the airflow controller, i just like it because the ring on top helps me get that "Extra" flushing. However, on the Vamo I feel that there needs to be holes in the little divots on the top cap for airflow. Maybe its just me though.

Middle: The look is exactly the same, all save for one thing.. That lovely OLED screen. I love that new screen. Its Fancy. Seems to be a little easier to see in the light as well. The menu provides more options, When you push the fire button the screen can tell you your voltage, wattage, ohms, or battery voltage. This feature can also be turned off. I was told that the Vamo v5 was RMS only, but that is not true, it has a MEAN mode, which averages. However, the actual workings, the hit of it, is essentially the same.

The Rest: The Vamo v5 seems slightly lighter than my Vamo v2. Both are stainless steel. i think it may be because the top cap on the Vamo v2 is significantly thicker. The entire mod is VERY slightly taller than the Vamo v2, and the tube is interchangeable. All in all, i do prefer the Vamo v5 over the Vamo v2, it seems sturdier, and better thought out.

Well, the buttons are the same size and style, However, the button on the v5 feels MUCH better when you touch it. I had that problem with the vamo v2 as well, misfires. But i have not had it with the vamo v5. ...Though i do keep trying to fire my Vamo v5 from the bottom when im tired, thinking its my nemisis, an i keep trying to fire my nemisis from the side too.. lol

Good stuff - waiting for my V5 to be delivered. Went from cig lookalike, to an Ego setup, to ordering this within 40 days...

If the step up from the Ego to the AVP is as good as the step up from a E-Cig lookalike to a Ego is, then I can't-bloody-wait :D
Hope it turns out well. I think you will be really really happy.

Took a bit of getting used to, and managed to inadvertently set it to 15watts by accident on one vape and my lungs barely survived!! Once I'd set it to RMS (think it defaulted to Average or something) and WOW, what a vape. I've toned it right down wattage and voltage wise, seems to work best with the 100% VG juice I loaded into the tank. Satisfying vape, one very happy customer :D

Nice knowing that if I use a different juice/tank that I have the option of hitting up the watts/volts to get the desired result. Battery life seems excellent so far too (heavy vaping and sitting on 7.5 volts left on the twin 18350 batts)

Worth every penny so far

when you get them curious which one you think is better. I have used both and didn't think the svd is better. I also never hear the svd is better before this thread strange.
i will make sure i do that. i simply ordered them because i want to try different devices . being a new vaper I'm digging the gadgets.
i have read on various post on here that the connection on the svd is way more robust than the vamo and im in this for the long haul so longevity is important to me ohh and to the OP the vamo is the best mod/e-cig under $30 :)

I'm still trying to get mine dialed in. Is the USPS on strike right now? (I know, but it feels like it, especially from California:?:)

That being said my only real issue has been a rattle I get from the fire button. Seems loose. Don't know if that's normal, this is the only one I've held. Other than that my V5 seems to take 10 presses to turn on, not 5 which really doesn't bug me.

Can't wait for all the other stuff I ordered last, last weekend to get here.

I have 2 V2s and a V5.

The left small button (down) lost it's "clicky" on my V2 and is hypersensitive so I got the V5

I like all the things the OP likes and will only get V5s now.
I have a brown http://www.serenitygear.com/index.html sleeve on my daily driver (V5)
I like it so much I'm getting another in black. On it's way here :)

I sold my Zombie Provari because I missed VW and ego threading so it just sat.
I almost always use evods & Protanks. Simple and both use the same cheap coils.

I have an MVP 2 (out for delivery) and I hope it's as good as the VTR so I can sell it (VTR).

Here's the V5/sleeve in Ron Jeremy mode

I got the last tall black Vamo sleeve. He only has tall brown and shorty mode sleeves left right now.
Keep checking back at SerenityGear for tall black. He updates every week or two.

MVP2 in possession and love it :thumb:

I just ordered 2 more in camo for $30/ea (shipping included)

That's right, Complete Vapes has an assortment of them on sale and a 25% off coupon.

Stack the 25% off on the sale and SHAZAM! $30 for an MVP2

I dropped my V5 from about 3 or 4 feet by accident onto concrete today. Broke my T3S tank...the seam came apart by the base ring just a tad, enough to make it leak slowly. Fortunately, there only a couple of dings and scratches that are barely noticeable on the stainless steel finish. Wish I knew about the cover when I bought mine. However the unit is fine and nothing is messed up with the internals.
