Congrats! Pics possibly?

Don't forget to use the pt conical beauty ring if your pt came with it, provides a lot of extra support/stabilizes the tank.

....continues to puff away on his now antiquated V3...:vapor::p

Don't need the beauty ring because the top cap is exactly the size of the PT II. Even if the tank were a larger diameter there is still no reason for a separate support.

Nice my Vamo V5 should be getting here any minute now. Pictures will be coming later. :)

Hope you get it really soon. Someone in the V5 co-op discovered that contrary to what FasTech is describing as the features it DOES retain your settings when changing the battery AND it DOES have AVG/RMS. Most are shipping in AVG mode so be sure to change it to RMS. I charred at least 2 heads before I read the thread this morning.

I ordered two Vamo v5's from the same coop as you, lulu. Thought i'd post my thoughts about it in here instead of starting a new thread.

First off, i've only been vaping for about 2 months and the Vamo's are the only thing i've tried besides my Vision VV spinners so i'm by no means an expert. Second, this is hands down the best mod for the price!

So my biggest dislike is the tube/ring threading. To my knowledge, i don't believe it would cost them any more to cut better threads. For a while i was into higher end flashlights and all of mine have square threads, very smooth, very robust and quite resistant to stripping. The +/- buttons seem to have inconsistency between the two on the same mod and between both mods, i'd be willing to pay a few extra bucks for higher quality +/- buttons. The fire button seems consistent between the two and seem to be of higher quality.

The last small thing would be better circuitry to withstand stacking 18350/18650's. Supposedly they are known not to last running stacked batteries at higher voltage.

That's my thoughts on the negatives. I really like the finish on the tubes and the weight and sturdiness feels great, it hits great and has a nice screen. As i said earlier, it's definitely the best mod for the money even at retail price!

I hope you don't mind me posting this in your thread. If you do just PM me and i'll delete and create my own thread ;)

Well I have finally gotten some time actually using it now. First thing I did was put it in RMS mode. Then I set it to show the battery V when you hit the power button and set it to 6w. 6watts so far really seems perfect for the Smoktech ARO. I really like the OHM checker too some of my AROs vary more than I thought. I have 2 with 2.4ohm heads that actually check at 2.4ohms and 1 2.4 that checks at 2.1 and so far 2 3.0ohm that check out at 3.2ohm. I've swapped them too from a 2.4 right to a 3.0 and it stayed at 6watts and they both perform identical. AROs thread on absolutely perfectly with a perfect draw too (YMMV). I am really loving this Vamo 5.

Nice feedback folks. I received mine from Fairy-Gift several weeks ago V5 Stainless Steel, then tested it to make sure everything was in working order. Gave it to my wife to save as a Xmas gift for me. My one year old Stainless Steel Vamo V2 is still working fine, and I have two mechanical mods as a backup, but use the Vamo almost exclusively at home every day. Someday I may spring for a ProVari, but the Vamo gives me the same features at one third the cost and I like the style of the Stainless V2 and V5 much better.

Later Folks, Happy Vaping and Best Wishes
