So I got a Vamo v5. When I put my tank and I tried a bunch on a certain point it says low v. It wont turn on without a topper and it displays 9.9. I sent it back and when it got to the company it apparently worked. I saw a video of it working it wasnt doing the same thing. So what am I, stupid? Why do my toppers make low v and it wont turn on and so forth then when it gets to the company its fine. Im so upset I have had to send it out twice and apparently it worked so what am I doing wrong when I screw my tank on or press the button to turn it on it makes no sence.

Nat mini evods pro tanks my neighbours carto. And when I get to a certain point of screwing in bam low v. It wont turn on without a topper and when I put the topper on and go to fire it says low v. 9.9ohm. Fresh batterie. But when it got to the company it isnt doing that. So like literally I must be stupid I guess I dont know how to screw a tank on or click a button. Personally I think its dumb luck it worked for them and I know it isnt going to work for me. Im out an e cig dont have any more money really im on disability. Maybe ill just get some ciggarets this is ridiculous.

"The problem is from over-tightening and pushing the center pin down too far. There is a small white gasket that needs to be under the center connection, this pushes up the center pin to make the connections. If the gasket is missing or the center connection is pushed into the gasket you will get issues with firing and ohm reading.

I used a blunt dental tool and carefully pushed the white gasket back under the center pin, and tightened my vivi very gently and it works like it should. I'm going to follow this advice and replace the gasket as it seems to be a great fix." -KerryK

It should help you out.

Ok ok. When I get my Vamo back if it does it im going to do this. For now I just vape my simple ego while I wait. Thanks boss!

Note: "the overtightening" part;

that's what was happening; you tightened it down too hard causing a short; (I think it would have said "Low Load" not "Low V".

Both my zmax and vamo used to do that when I first got them because the instinct is to tighten firmly

A tip I learned while having a Vamo5. Run your tank down until it just makes good contact, verify this with the ohm meter function. Then run the beauty ring up until it hits your tank, and use it as a lock. Note this may require you to drill some air flow holes in the ring if your tank needs to breath through it. I understand the newest Vamo`s have holes drilled already.

All mods should have adjustable positive pins. Rediculous. Hope you get it sorted.

I second that; all replaceable battery mods should have adjustable center pin;
the whole point of a replaceable battery mod is you can just replace the battery when the battery inevitably dies out after a few hundred charges insstead of having to throw out the whole device.
If the center pin insulator wears out rendering the unit useless it defeats the purpose of the mod.

The newest iteration of the Vamo 5 does have a floating center pin.

Yes I think so, but it's something you still have to look for carefully;

I think I saw it somewhere, but all the versions I just looked at so far v5, v6, 25w, 35w, so far I'm not finding the one that says adjustable or floating center pin, although I am pretty sure I've seen that somewhere.

Fasttech has V5's with floating pins and V6's with adjustable pins...

Low v should mean your battery voltage is below 3.3v... The OP's description sounds like the center pin adjustment would be the first place to look.

Ya, I use Fasttech as a good information source, you can find out more info there (use the reviews!) then what other sellers might be telling you, and then go on to make a buying decision elsewhere if you desire with the info you have been able to cull. But I have recently bought some stuff from them, still waiting for it though, LOLOLOL.
