Depending on the model prices on the V5 stainless in a B&M should be between $60-70 depending on how rural the shop is. Online is in the $50-60 range right now.

Also, I work in a B&M. The two common issues with all Vamo's regardless of version or finish are the threads and the o-ring underneath the firing pin. The o-ring can very easily be replaced with a #60 o-ring that can be found at the local lowes, Home Depot or hardware store. The threads can also fairly easily be replaced with a new top cap. Parts for the Vamo can be found at Vamo Body Parts and I can verify these do work and fit properly.

Saying all of this there is not a single mod in the same price range that comes without possible complications in the future. The Vamo is a great device and is one of the easiest to use for those new to vaping on a VV/VW device. Very few of the people I know that picked one up had any issues within 6 months and everyone I ever talked to about it love it.

I wouldn't worry about threading unless you are the type to Godzilla grip your tanks/RBA's on them which is so unnecessary. most people have threading issues because they either over tighten them or sit on their rig.
a Protank, Nautalis etc. will work great on your Vamo V5 or V3

Also, the Smok SID isn't a bad mod either a little cheaper and only has a single button, has the same settings, functionality as the Vamo and actually has a 5 amp max rating, the Vamos limited at 4 amps

The Vamo V5 doesn't need any adapters it will accept Ego and 510's

It wasn't suggested because the V5 doesn't have the 510 or ego threads.

The ego to ego adapter as well as the 510 airflow controller are common "fixes" for the Vamo's brass threads. By using an adapter it makes it to where you don't have to use the Vamo's threads every time you change atomizers.

Eagerly tooking foward to my vapemail as I ordered a VAMO 5 SS, PT2 mini, and a PT3, extra coils for both and two sets of I believe Pannys 18650 batts. Curently using Ego starter batt as backup when my twist is charging, Six cheapo clearo toppers, a PT2 mini and a new PT3 that has had flooding issues.(seems to be fine right now after some tinkering). I switch out flavors often and am carefull on how I thread the toppers on. So far about a week without a stinky and no desire for one which is a first for me in my 25 year habit.

About a year ago when I first started Vamos seemed to be the best device for the price, is there something better now then for around £50 mark? I'm just looking for a VW/VV battery that will last all day as I can kill a 850Mah in a day a 1000Mah just about lasts me through work.

I wouldn't say I've been out of the game because I have been vaping all this time just not exclusively at the moment, I want an AGA T2 because I have this perception in my head that having Battery -> Coil -> Juice (as opposed to Bat -> Coil -> String material -> Juice) will deliver a better vape because I keep hitting it hard and ending up with a burnt taste and that goes for Kanger protanks, Vision V3 clearomizers, ego-T tanks thingys.

Do the Kanger Aerotank and Aspire Nautilus suffer this problem?

To the first question, a Sigelei Zmax is another solid choice, and more aesthetically pleasing than a Vamo. And its true, a well built Aga-T2 will provide an awesome vape, but building w/ss mesh takes a lot of know how to get it right, otherwise it will a world of frustration with hot spots, poor wicking, and the like.

From what I hear, The Aerotank and Nautilus are really good vapes ... I hear nothing but raves about the Nautilus in particular. It has air flow control, which directly affects wicking, and vapor production. There are several review videos on youtube for both, why don't you check them out, and then decide. :)
