Vamped 40 Amp 18650 - 2000 mAh

So, these are apparently pretty hot and there was a lot of buzz about these at Vape Summit -
However, I'm pretty skeptical of new batteries hitting the market.

Does anyone have any experience with these batteries?

The owner of the shop I frequent was talking about picking them up, but he couldn't find much information regarding the safety or reliability of these batteries.

I'm ready to phase out my VTC4s for something a bit punchier now that I exclusively rock Royal Wire.

I'm extremely skeptical on that one. A high amp rating from a company that isn't a major manufacturer, sounds like a rewrap job to me. That coupled with the false amp ratings that unfortunately get thrown around a lot such as the "35 amp" efest and I think we're looking at a battery that my at most have a peak of 40 amps.

I'll ask my buddy to get one in if we can find a vendor for 5 or so and have him chart them out. He works at a battery shop with high end equipment to test mah, drain at multiple amps etc.

Quit overpaying for wire. Grab some nichrome 60 from temco and you'll realize that is royal wire.

It's not necessarily about pushing the battery to 40 amps. A higher current ceiling can mean more stable voltages under even moderate loads. That means stronger output on mechs and longer life on regulated mods.

It's the reason why the Sony VTC5 performs as well as, and could possibly outperform, the Panasonic PF at under 10A.

I've vaped at or below 0.1 amps several times.

Before you go bug eyed realize it was not with a mech with an 18650 in it. It was a handmade device rated for 200+ amps.

It would never be my all day but I just saw someone I know pushing down to 0.039 using a similar device.

The Shop I deal with is also a distributor, and they are getting cases of the 40A batteries, I have heard and don't quote me on this, but these are may be made by LG, don't know, won't know till I pick mine up. I to am skeptical, but I am getting a bakers dozen so I will sacrifice one to see if there's any thing under the wrap. I don't go below .5 on any of my builds so the reason I'm getting these is because they are new and I'm getting them for a lot less than the Sony or e fest

Spotted these in-shop today but didn't think to ask about them. Probably best to hold off until we have more information. I have yet to build something my vtc4/5 batteries can't handle, and if I want to, there's a way to do it with proven hardware.

Might be just me but if i am going to do a build that will require 40 amps it isn't gonna be an 18 series battery.

Ok so a local B&M owner did me a favor and unwrapped one of the Vamped Batteries he has on the shelf. This is what was underneath. I did as much research as I could (only to come up empty). http://i.imgur.com/RC3jTkW.jpg Anyone got any ideas?

I work in a vape shop and rewrap batteries using PVC wrap from illumination supply.

From rewrapping batteries I can say that is not a Sony VTC3-5, Efest V1 /V2, LG high amp or Samsung battery. It doesn't have a designator like any of those.

I'm curious to the minimum discharge rating is. I think future boost chips could utilize the hybrid batteries that are coming out lately that we're drifting towards..

I see a 50 watt mod in your future... maybe even higher..

I too am very interested in these batteries i would to see some more information on them.
Speaking.of.50 watts i am holding my hexohm okr-t10 box currently my quasar is at .6 and at 6volts of.output that puts me at 60 watts and 10amps its quite the vape.thats forsure.

Well I'm a little late to the party since I just learned of these batteries yesterday.
I like others am both intrigued and skeptical of these batteries.
Not having adequate info on these is unsettling to me and I hope someone with more info will share with us.

I'm also skeptical. Here is the spec sheet post on ........'s. I find it odd that it doesn't have a burst and max rating listed, only max. Makes me think it is like the "35 amp" Efests, where they list the burst discharge rating as the max.

They're 20 amp. It would be like calling the VTC's 60 amp.
