Okay spent the last 5 hours vaping on them both, so early 1st impressions -

Build quality is great on both, I switched both to the larger tank configuration, not interested in dealing with a 2 mil tank.

Did my normal 1.5ohm clapton build on them, was really easy to build, as being clapton wire, just stuck under the screw and tighten

Very easy to wick too, cut wicks short and just lay in channels, I'm vaping 30PG/70VG juice and it's not had a problem keeping up, even when chain vaping.

I did test filling, and did get the reported gurgle when put back together, even if do the turn upside and tighten top cap, but didn't get any leaking through the air hole though, I also tried bottom fill, which was easy and no gurgle at all, and also noticed, you can get more capacity when bottom filling.

So onto air flow, it is great to see a company make a tank that is really made for MTL, not one of these tanks trying to do DL and MTL, the air flow shows that, if you can't get a tight enough draw with this tank, then you never will, you can even make it tighter than the old kayfuns, I have been going between the 1.4mm and 1.6mm air flow hole, and find both great, the smallest airflow is crazy tight. If you are a MTL user who likes a loose draw, then this will not be for you.

Flavor is great, which is to be expected with the tight airflow, it's not mindblowing different to my other tanks like the siren or hussar, but it sure is up there.

To be honest as I can, I will point out cons, one is the gurgle when top filling, I will probably bottom fill mostly, so not a big deal, but lets face it, no tank is perfect.
Also you only get 1 of each glass, so if break one, then stuck with the other size, hopefully we will see replacement glasses for them in the future.
Edit in - one other con, wish they also did a 22mm tank, I have a ton of mods, but the berserker being 24mm, can only use it on a few of them.

But otherwise it gets a big thumb up from me, I will give it a few days and if still feel the same, then be ordering a few more :)

Oh and as for the saying across the top of the tank, you really can't see it unless looking for it, even on the black it is tiny, so that doesn't bother me.

Excellent review! Thank you very much, Nailz. I'm glad you're enjoying your vape tonight. The Berserker sounds fantastic. I can't wait to get one! I'm thinking my next RTA purchases will be both the Berserker and the Siren V2. I can't possibly decide between the two until I try them for myself.

I think that's a good idea, if the siren v2 had been released when the berserker was, I would've done the same, I will still try the siren v2, as I loved the v1 for so long (even with it's quirks) just not sure I will be a fan of that top fill on it though, but we will see :)

Just added to my review post, did wish they also made a 22mm, even if lost a mil of juice capacity, got a lot of mods, but a good portion of them only fit a 22mm tank, so limited on what mods I can use the berserker on.

Me too. I have very few mods that will work with a larger than 22 mm tank. Of course, I can always order more mods too! :toast:

I have been eyeing the newbie as well.. but it seems it takes 22.5/23 mm (I forgot) atties without overhang .

I might be wrong though, I read up some Google translated Chinese reviews. But the translation wasn't great. Would love to hear your thoughts on when you receive it. :)

I got an email from FT yesterday that said the Newbie had been discontinued, and offering a refund. So that one's out for now. Thank goodness the Volcano M DNA 75 is still available for 40 bucks (in Red!).

You can find the same price for the newbie listed on Aliexpress :
    http://s.aliexpress.com/memqI7vA

Also see it listed on gearbest but for a little more $$

Well, I've been vaping on my 'zerker now for a couple of days and thought I would offer up my personal experience with it so far. Readers Digest version? I love it. This is the first RTA in literally years that I have not had to mod in some way to screw the airflow down to my taste (very tight draw). Despite what the reviewers have been saying on YouTube, I have had exactly zero flooding issues when I fill the tank (I do, admittedly, turn the tank upside down and screw the top cap on after a refill but that is more habit than a requirement here). The machining is excellent for the $38.50 I spent getting it to my front door (tax & shipping included). The only complaint I have is I would have liked a 4.5ml Ultem tank over the glass. That's just a personal thing though. :) In closing, it has quickly become my commuter work-beater and at the end of the day I highly recommend it to anyone who likes a very tight MTL draw.

"Did my normal 1.5ohm clapton build on them, was really easy to build, as being clapton wire, just stuck under the screw and tighten"

would you mind telling me what size clapton you use for the 1.5ohm build....
i`ve been threatening to buy/try some for some time but never got around to it yet,
i generally build between 1.0ohm and 1.5ohm, saw your comment and thought i`d ask while i`m here.
i`m interested in both the berserker and digiflavour siren v2 (own the siren v1) so i`m reading both threads to help make a decision.
i`m curious to what the height of the berserker looks like with the full size tank compared to the v1 siren or maybe cthulhu mtl rta if you have it?.....i prefer the shorter tanks (but also like a bit of juice capacity) and kind of consider the siren v1 as on the tall side for my liking.....hoping for a side by side pic if possible :)

    and good review, thank you.

siren 2 is 59 mm tall and berserker is 51.5 mm tall, both 24mm / 4.5 ml, driptip included
without driptip, 44 mm vs 40 mm
    siren 2
    berserker

thank you......i was hoping for a side by side comparison of berserker and siren v1 and/or cthulhu mtl just to see how they look but no big deal really,
but those measurements have helped with drip tip "included" measurements.
v2 siren is taller than the v1 but the berserker is shorter than both which is good,
the berserker is only about 5mm taller then the cthulhu.

I buy the 36k/28k single core clapton wire from lightning vapes here - Clapton Wire Spools
I do 6/7 wraps around a 2.5 mm bit to get around 1.5ohms, Since I 1st tried the clapton coil, never gone back to normal coils, flavor is much better.

The berserker is a bit bigger than the Cthulhu I think, but shorter than the siren, and doesn't look tall, even in full size mode, due to it's 24mm radius.
