I imagine the mesh will shine in an rta. It will be able to keep the wick soaked.
Got it & so impressed with it
solid build quality easy to build & wick just roll enough amount of cotton to fill the massive mesh feed it through from top make sure cotton at the bottom covers juice channels
Air flow is on the restricted direct hit but very smooth
dense vapor production & amazing flavor
Do you think it's possible to built it with wire? i.e. strips of wire running in parallel?
How does it compare with other rtas?
doable but I think it easier to go with a vertical coilDo you think it's possible to built it with wire? i.e. strips of wire running in parallel?

Did you check for hot spots?
After pulling tight make sure both screw top & bottom are tight
Juice your wick & pulse it slowly
Keep juicing & pulsing till you make sure no hot spots
Good luck & report back
Glow on the meshWhen checking for hotspots with mesh (wicked)...am I primarily looking for heat glow on the mesh? Or the cotton drying in isolated spots?
I think I figured out what my problem was. I did a burn with it juiced up and didn't notice any hot spots. Screws were tight. So I went ahead and threw the tank on. Started out good, but I got a bit of a burnt taste after a dozen or so pulls. Yanked it out again and noticed that the wick browning was concentrated to one side.Glow on the mesh
Yeah im still getting dry hits with this thing strange...... I mean as far as the cotton on the bottom its hard to fluff up as the deck is right underneath of it... So frustrating ugh!!!@rcalvy1
I tested both methods & both worked fine for me
I never had any dry hit so far, just keep your wick fluffed specially at the bottom by juice holes you should be fine
Still trying to figure this one out. I'm getting very stark differences in pulls -- falling between one of the best vapes I've had, to riding the line of burning. My wicks are all getting very dark at the top, fast. Mesh burn is obviously even...so I'm struggling to find what variable to move onto. Anxious to see some videos of people smarter than me wicking this guy.
.2ohm SS, 385f, 50 watts. Cotton bacon strand and am using the method of leaving one side of the mesh undone and pulling it tight against the cotton strand.
I want to like it. Great build quality. It definitely does seem virtually leak proof (might be my favorite top fill). And it's my ideal airflow (I like a bit of resistance).
Im not having any hot spots and getting puffs that are amazing and some that are dry :-( If I do see hot spots I just need to make sure the cotton is against the mesh correct?Did you check for hot spots?

Hey I am in the same boat as you I get great hits and then border line dry ive tried wicking with both ends of the mesh fastened and with only one end fastened So frustrating like you I want to like it lol!
Same here from best vape to dry hits howdo you fix the hot spots?
My biggest contributing problems were that my loop was too short. And, was not perfectly round; therefore, I had a tiny/thin strand of cotton pinched between the hoop and post that was getting hot. I took my time and made sure my mesh strand was as near perfect to round as possible today and I'm not longer getting dry hits.
However, I used a ton of cotton. So I'm not getting dense hits. I think I'm going to have to fluff out and play with the cotton's placement to the juice holes.
Getting closer. From the teases that I got, this thing is going to be worth figuring out.
