Got it & so impressed with it
solid build quality easy to build & wick just roll enough amount of cotton to fill the massive mesh feed it through from top make sure cotton at the bottom covers juice channels
Air flow is on the restricted direct hit but very smooth
dense vapor production & amazing flavor

Do you think it's possible to built it with wire? i.e. strips of wire running in parallel?
How does it compare with other rtas?

from the looks you could do a vertical coil fairly easily, might be good for the wide claptons (tractor/stapled) the wicking for such would be the tough part

doable but I think it easier to go with a vertical coil

Just got mine today. Any tips on wicking? Do you secure both ends of the mesh first and then stuff cotton in there? The first attempt at wicking the first tank was gone in like 15 pulls and crazy spit back I then fluffed out the cotton that was in there already and I would get some amazing puffs filled with flavor and vapor and then some with muted flavor and dense vapor but not really dry hits! Too much cotton? Any good links on wicking ?

Just got this unit yesterday and still in the experimental phase. So do you fasten both ends of the mesh and then fill the gap with cotton? The few reviews I have seen online they fasten one end of the mesh to the post then put cotton in the center and pull the mesh around... I seem to be getting good hits when the tank is full then when 3?4 full some dry hits and after that I get good hits its not consistent but when it does work man wicked taste!!

Still trying to figure this one out. I'm getting very stark differences in pulls -- falling between one of the best vapes I've had, to riding the line of burning. My wicks are all getting very dark at the top, fast. Mesh burn is obviously even...so I'm struggling to find what variable to move onto. Anxious to see some videos of people smarter than me wicking this guy.

.2ohm SS, 385f, 50 watts. Cotton bacon strand and am using the method of leaving one side of the mesh undone and pulling it tight against the cotton strand.

I want to like it. Great build quality. It definitely does seem virtually leak proof (might be my favorite top fill). And it's my ideal airflow (I like a bit of resistance).

Did you check for hot spots?
After pulling tight make sure both screw top & bottom are tight
Juice your wick & pulse it slowly
Keep juicing & pulsing till you make sure no hot spots
    Good luck & report back

Thanks for the tip! I'll try wicking it again and report back. I've had a little better luck with the last go around -- still getting close to burning from time to time. I used a little less cotton and just made it fluffier.

When checking for hotspots with mesh (wicked)...am I primarily looking for heat glow on the mesh? Or the cotton drying in isolated spots?

    Glow on the mesh
I think I figured out what my problem was. I did a burn with it juiced up and didn't notice any hot spots. Screws were tight. So I went ahead and threw the tank on. Started out good, but I got a bit of a burnt taste after a dozen or so pulls. Yanked it out again and noticed that the wick browning was concentrated to one side.

Also the side that I had been pulling tight to the cotton. It created a bit of an elbow that had loose bits of cotton pulled tight to the post. Works like a dream.

Still left with a question...are you keeping your wicking away from being compressed against the side of the post? Might not be an issue normally. For my first go-around, I think my mesh loop was a little short, so my problem might be a bit exaggerated.

    @rcalvy1
I tested both methods & both worked fine for me
I never had any dry hit so far, just keep your wick fluffed specially at the bottom by juice holes you should be fine
Yeah im still getting dry hits with this thing strange...... I mean as far as the cotton on the bottom its hard to fluff up as the deck is right underneath of it... So frustrating ugh!!!

Im not having any hot spots and getting puffs that are amazing and some that are dry :-( If I do see hot spots I just need to make sure the cotton is against the mesh correct?

Same here from best vape to dry hits howdo you fix the hot spots?

My biggest contributing problems were that my loop was too short. And, was not perfectly round; therefore, I had a tiny/thin strand of cotton pinched between the hoop and post that was getting hot. I took my time and made sure my mesh strand was as near perfect to round as possible today and I'm not longer getting dry hits.

However, I used a ton of cotton. So I'm not getting dense hits. I think I'm going to have to fluff out and play with the cotton's placement to the juice holes.

Getting closer. From the teases that I got, this thing is going to be worth figuring out.

I think i got it. Changing the wick to kendo gold solved my problems. Initially I tried Japanese cotton rolled , that definitely didn’t work... so my suggestion is to work with something fluffy and solid like kendo rayon cotton bacon that are fluffy and take the sape of the mesh.
What a fantastic vape!! This has the best flavour of all my rtas!!!
