so i made a pretty good coffee extract using 100% vg. and seeing as it is BLACK COFFEE, i figured i might wanna add another flavor tone to it. went to 5 different stores and couldnt find any flavorings besides mccormicks and all but one contains oil/sugar

pure vanilla - natural- vanilla bean extract with alcohol and water.

any one have any suggestions on mixing levels? i hear mccormics is very "low" on flavor compared to all the other stuff people use on here such as lorans and TPA.

DIY trying to use nothing but things already in your house or at the grocery is a bit like trying to eat a steak dinner with just a spoon. You can do it, sort of, but it isn't as easy or as enjoyable as if you had better tools for the job. DIY is a fab way to save money over bought e-liquids but it is much easier and results are more predictable with a few super concentrated flavors.

I am with Bliss, starting with coffee extracts and grocery store flavors is tough business- to get quality DIY flavor concentrates for vapeing are the yellow brick road.

go with what Jimi D said too and start off with a company like Hangsen, they are easy to mix and dont require additives

I'm with everyone else, don't give up. There is a learning curve with doing anything you've never done before. Trust me on this, I'm in the begining stages of DIYing juice myself. I've learned alot from reading the posts in this forum. I still have some questions about a few things, such as weather or not you can use store bought extracts such as vanilla and lemon juices as flavorings. That's why I clicked on this thread.
If your looking for off the shelf flavorings then I would suggest LorAnn's. They are used as candy flavorings and can be found in most grocery stores in the baking isle, or most any place that sells candy making products.
There is a list of the LorAnn flavorings to stay away from somewhere in these e-juice forums. Most are the flavoring "oils". I myself need to go there and ask if there is any health risks with using the oils to vape with because, as I've said, I'm still learing. Plus i love spearmint, and just made a great tasting spearmint juice out of LorAnn's spearmint naturial oil.
So keep reading these posts, and keep trying. You'll get it right. Just do small batches, 10ml at a time, without nic., and you'll get there.

Good Luck. :thumb:
