hi, has anyone experienced their vanilla liquids turning very dark over time? i'm noticing this with different types of vanilla and also notice when this color change happens the quality of taste is not good any longer also.

thanks

Mine always turn dark over time, last 30ml I bought is almost as dark as strong coffee now, taste changes as well and gets heavier tasting. But then about half of the juices I buy turn significantly darker after steeping a week or so, some taste better, some worse. Vanilla darkens more than any other I have used though.

I make highly scented container candles and handcrafted goat milk cold process soap. When I scent them with a vanilla fragrance, the end product will be Brown. The higher the % of vanilla added, the darker brown the end product will be.

Vanilla just turns things brown. It's the nature of the beast.

no, juices barely change color. it's your clearo's/vivi's that are causing the big color change by seeping burnt wick/juice back into your tank.

I'm talking about it darkening in the bottle. I have a 30ml bottle of vanilla I bought two weeks ago I haven't even opened yet and it's gone from light color to darker than coffee. It's always been that way and the taste changes as well as it does.

They do darken up in a clearo too though, not sure really if it's burned stuff, or just that we vape off more of the clear pg/vg leaving more concentration of flavoring behind though. Would make sense as most say they can mute flavors.

It may be my imagination, but I get the impression that juices with higher nic - regardless of flavor - turn darker faster.

Has anybody else noticed this?

I think you're right, at least with vanilla. The van. bean ice cream I was talking about will go deep pink in a few days at 24mg/mL, but at 12mg/mL it's still yellowish after three days.

I made 12 by just cutting it with VG, so it might also be the PG perentage. I can't tell until I make a weak-nic, high-PG base. I want to say it's the PG and not the nic, though.
