Hi guys! It's been a miserable day here! This was taken at lunch today:

Some context: that line of leaves is the high-water mark, and our pumps can handle an inch of rain an hour. So you can guess how hard it's been raining. What's worse is that it drained away, and later this afternoon another downpour and another flood!

Luv, I decided against it. I realized today that I'm satisfied at the moment: I have 7 devices, 4 of which are vv; I have 5 carto tanks (2 Phiniacs, 1 Lava tank and 2 Smoketek DCTs) and plenty of cartos for them; I have 2 Vivi's and 9 (I think) Stardusts. I've got spare batteries for all and a spare charger as well. There is absolutely nothing standing in between me and a smoke-free future. So I"m going to enjoy my plateau while I can.
I am going to play however. The paint's coming off of my e-power and I'm going to try Amber's from the trippy thread trick; she painted her ego's with fingernail polish topped with a clearcoat. While I'm not going for the glitter thing, I think while I'm at home, I'll get Mom to help me paint my battery case (she has to know more about fingernail polish than I do ). I'm thinking about a good rich red. If it turns out badly, I can always order a replacement case for under $10.

Glen, let me know how that case works. I'm guessing it work fine and if it does, I'm definitely interested.

GUYS!!! EXCITEMENT HERE!!! I won $100!!! A Gotvapes contest.. they were giving away five one hundred dollar prizes randomly throughout a bigger contest.. one of those pick two numbers from a grid things. I've kept up pretty well with it, but missed a few rounds. I just hopped on to see if I was missing anything and everyone was congratulating me... so I've got $100 coming my way!!! Crap, and I just placed an order with them last night for $50!! Winning is SOOOOO shweeeeeeet!

Reidus,,, looks pretty crappy there!! You've got water, we had wind up here. Ripped roofs off buildings, lots of trees down. Kind of surprising that nobody got hurt. Power was out for a couple days in some places and there's tons of limbs and junk all over the roads still. I hope you're high and dry, my friend!

Glen,, that's a cool looking little case.. it looks kinda smallish for vaping gear though.. maybe the picture is deceiving. I love Amazon.. Hmmmmm, I've got some credit over there, wonder what I can find???

I can't believe it's Friday and my vacation is almost over... I don't wanna go back to work mostly because I'm going to be down one person,,, as our administration has decided not to fill a position being vacated tonight. This is truly going to suck,, just me and one other girl running that lab every night. Not looking forward to it. At all.

Well, I'm gonna enjoy my last few days... I think I might grab a beer! And some Gandalf

Luv, gratz on the $100. Commiserations on having to head back to work. I'm actually off for almost a month after Wednesday! Of course, during that time I have to work on a paper as well as update my courses for the fall. And I understand having to more with less. Pre-Katrina we had 13 faculty in my department; today we have 9, teaching roughly the same number of students!

I hope every is feeling lovely this morning and enjoying your pursuits for the perfect vape. For me, I think this is the week I put in the order at Phiniac for my next tank which will now include the blue sand blast design. This will only be my second custom tank, and I'm pretty jazzed about it.

Q: What is the average time/liquid you get with a punched Boge carto lately? With the 3 ohm XL cartos I got, I'm getting though most of one 5ml tank before the draw gets really tight, then I can clean out the center with a paper clip to loosen the draw and get through most of second tank before the flavor just goes "off". I can't seem to get more than 2 tanks out of any of these so far, so what's your experience?

Absolutely dude! Even if it isn't large enough for the Precious and Woody, it will probably be a good upgrade for my eGo travel kit that will allow me to carry more juice bottles, tanks, clearos, etc.

Glen, I generally get through 2 3ml tanks (I think the standard Phiniacs are that size) before I generally replace them. I use a 2.0 Boge though.

Mac, I really have no idea. Off the top of my head, I'd use SR cartos and attys. 6 volts is just too hot for LR.

I've been bad again today, guys. I just bought a chrome Lavatube off of Delilah over on the trippy thread. I'm considering it a prezzie for finishing summer school.

And I'm seriously loving the strawberry kiwi from Vixen. I got a sample and I've been vaping it all afternoon. Anybody have any favorites from there?

Oh Reidus, Reidus, Reidus..... you are too funny! Your sig is gonna be so freakin long!!! I've never tried Vixen. I really don't NEED any juice right now, but I'll have to keep them in mind.

Talked to my son today,, he's still vaping on his EgoT.. but got himself and his wife a couple type B atty's for them. Her's worked great, his did not. About 15 minutes of troubleshooting and we got him vaping some Chai Tea and he was a happy boy! And I'm thrilled that they're both enjoying it so much. I'm going to send them some of my extra juices. Also found out that my best friend's sister is now vaping and loving it.. hell, we only spent about 3 hours with her and when she went back home to Missouri she got on-line and ordered herself a set-up.. not sure what she ordered, but everyone is amazed.. including me! She didn't seem interested at all the day I met her. Pretty cool!

Should get my new Rocket on Monday.. YAY!! I'll be sealing around the top of it before I do anything else with it. I get that and I'll be a happy girl, with all the batts I need (yeah, right!)

Slow going here this AM. Skipped church; it's pouring and since my church d/n have a parking lot, I don't feel like walking 2 or more blocks in the rain in good clothes. If I go to hell for that, so be it.

Got my new doorbell up and running; now I just have to get the front door button attached. It has multiple sounds; I had to decide between the normal chime, the bell like in a boxing match, a foghorn, cuckoo clock, knock and gong. I'm leaning towards the boring chime for now; no point in scaring the mailman. Other than that, I'm planning on a slow rainy Sunday.

G'mornin all.. can't say I blame you much for not going to church, Reidus.. kinda wishing we were getting some rain up here.. everything around here is dry as toast! Everyone's lawns are brown and crispy. But it's hot and muggy, had to turn the air on today.

Quick trip to the grocery store today for some jalapenos.. going to make some yummy grilled pineapple salsa to go with the pork tenderloin that's been marinating for a couple days. Maybe some strawberry shortcake for dessert. Last day of vacation and back to the sh**hole tomorrow. But already looking forward to two weeks off in September! Think I'll spend the afternoon in the gazebo with my Kindle..

Reidus - Is there any way to add your own sound samples to that doorbell? I always thought it would be cool to have one that sounded like a pack of hungry dogs growling and barking when someone came to the door. I know... I have a weird sense of humor.

Luv - That pork tenderloin and salsa sounds awesome! All I got in my fridge right now is some leftover Papa John's pizza, but I guess it will get me through the day.

In other news, I pulled the trigger over at Phiniac on the clear XL tank with the guitar & notes design in blue and the SS caps. It should be here by the end of the week and I'm really jazzed about it!

Grilled pineapple salsa for Reidus (and anyone else who might be interested!)
Drain a can of pineapple slices (or use fresh, probly better but I'm lazy) Brush with olive oil and grill till you get some nice char marks. Let cool and chop. Add some chopped red onion, jalapeno, sweet red pepper, a little lime juice and some fresh chopped cilantro and mix it up. That's it!! Super easy, and very yummy! Goes really well with grilled pork tenderloin but I'd eat it with just about anything.

Yes, pictures. I'd like to see pics of Glen's stuff and Reidus's too.. family photos, so to speak. You guys might need wide angle lenses, though, to get them all in one shot

There's only one blue option, and it's on the lighter side. It should look good with the blue LED on the Precious though and I'll see if I can get some good pics after it comes in.

That salsa sounds like it would go great on a shredded pork taco or chimichanga!

Mac, I haven't herd of 5 ohm cartos either. But I could see how they could work:

6v x 6v = 36/5 = 7.2 amps. That should provide a fairly warm vape. Come to think of it, 3ohms on a 6v device would likely burn at least some juices and some cartos as well.

Slow day here. I'm feeling more than a bit sluggish. I always get this way when I've been pushing for a while and everything's done. I"m hoping for a quiet day, though I might get me pork tenderloin and try that salsa.

Hey Reidus... about the salsa. Only use one jalapeno and a little bit of red onion.. unless, of course, you like REALLY hot stuff! I used two jalapenos and a half a red onion and it was a bit much. And I love hot stuff. All that heat kinda overpowered the nice grilled pineapple. Next time I'm gonna use fresh pineapple instead of canned too. I could eat that stuff every day!

I got vapemail today... YAHOO! Got my new red Rocket, and the first thing I did was file off a bit of the top of the body around the connector.. some tanks have a hard time connecting and that seems to be what fixes it. Then I ran a tiny, tiny bead of sealant between the connector and the body.. hoping to stop any leaks that might happen. I seriously love that little device and you just couldn't beat the price of it.. I saw the same device on another site selling for $89 for the body only, no batts or charger.. I got mine for $33, with batts and charger and a couple cartos. The cartos are crap but who cares?

Went to my chiro today, didn't go at all last week since I was gone most of the week. He totally cured a pinched nerve in my right arm that I've been fighting for close to a week. Dang, I love that guy!! He had to crank my neck to do it, but it wasn't bad this time.

Couldn't seem to sell my extra juices over on the classys so I packed em up and sent them to my son today. He and his wife are really getting into this business. They have Ego-T's with type B atomizers. I'm not much of a fan of those, but hey,,, whatever works!!!

I've been experimenting with DIY juices, and am absolutely in love with a few of my combinations! HC has some surprisingly tasty concentrated flavors, and I'll be buying more in the next co-op (will also be trying the VapingZone Super Concentrates). I'm impressed by the ease in which these flavors are melding, and the flavor explosion they produce (approx 10% flavoring to 90% pg/vg in my usual 50/50 mix, lower flavoring if using more PG). Easy to do, and I think more than a few of the the juices I created yesterday will be made in 30ml qty next (all made in 3ml yesterday, though I"ve ploughed through more than 6ml of one of the juices already!)

Very much enjoying the ViVi V2 tank I picked up from the HC co-op, and will be ordering several more in the August co-op. They're easy to use & the the flavor is wonderful. Highly impressed with this V2, probably the best clearo I've experienced - no flavor muting. My preference will still go to the Bella, but the price difference is significant, and with performance being nearly equal, ViVi has a slight edge.

Also loving my Twists - I'm impressed with their ability to hold a charge while still changing voltage with ease. I think a few 650mah may be picked up in the next co-op - the 1100mahs are terrific, but kind of enormous (at least an in inch longer than the 1100mah kgo!!), so something a smidge smaller/stealthier would be welcome. I would pick one up in a passthrough version if I could find one, too. Really love the thing. Will never replace the precious, but a great little VV!

True 6 volt will be hit and miss at 3 ohms unless it's dual coil. (because then you have twin 6ohm resistors) Those hit like beasts too but it's all about the throat hit there not vapor production
