Vape mail today!!!! oh poo....

I was so happy to get my vape mail until I filled up my carto of a juice I know well and love and sadly it didn't even resemble the juice I know and love. Blueberry cheesecake from VV has always been in my top 5 juices. Now I thought okay okay... maybe this one is just for dripping... I am using a clearo now, that could be it. SO I got out and atty and... nope. This is the 4th time I have ordered this juice. I know what it is supposed to taste like. It smells the same. But it tastes like they baked a blueberry cheese cake burnt it to a crisp then extracted the flavor and put it in my juice. There is also this weird anise taste too.

is it a bad batch? or did my taste bud suddenly change in the past 2 months? Has anyone else had the juice from vv tasting way off?

I recently ordered Vanilla Bean from Backwood's and it tastes nothing like what it usually does, I came down to the conclusion that it was just a bad batch =/

All the other flavors are okay. It's just that one. Well... I did get the best damn tobbacco flavor from her as well. That was for my father in aw tho. It looked really weird. like snot. And it smelled like a fresh pack of cigs. I took a pull and YUCK. It tasted like a nasty cig. JUST like a cig... but like one that had gotten wet and been dried out then you smoke it. You know? Well he likes it. So whatever, if it will keep him from smoking the real thing great. You wont see me touching the stuff. The banana nut muffin is freakin awesome... but I only got a sample size of that. Taste just like you are eating the real thing! A pretty good vape there.

You're not the first person I've read that had that experience with VV. I tried their Kona Coffee Milkshake that so many seem to love and I couldn't understand why so many would like it. Now I'm not even sure what I got was the same as what others have had.

As far as tobacco, that "Best Damn Tobacco" offering is a terrible representation of what can be done with a tobacco ejuice. I find it odd that it hasn't been pulled off the shelf yet. If your FiL does like it that's awesome but if not let him know there's other better options available.

He honestly likes it. It tastes JUST like a cig. so I knew he would. I found that I do like some tobacco flavors... but NOT that one. I like the pipe tobacco like smooth flavors. VR kuntuchy applewood yum yum. I am getting board of as of late tho. it's all I had that would work in my clearo until my VV order came in. I like to switch up the flavors. All the other flavors are fantastic from my VV order. So I am thinking now it may gust be extremely green still (fresh) and need a bit o steeping.

That's awesome he liked it! I still have the (very) occasional cigarette and the result is usually that I'm glad my vaping doesn't tast like that lol. I'm definately with you on the pipe tobacco flavors. I've never smoked a pipe but I'm sure I would have loved it. Funny, I didn't get into "tobacco" flavors until after I quit smoking. Let's face it, cigs didn't taste of tobacco at all in the way pipe and cigar smokers appreciate it. If you haven't tried them yet I suggest goodejuice's house brewed line, the Plume Room, and HHV for some very reasonably priced pipe and cigar tobacco flavors.

Good call on the steeping, from what I understand VV really benefits from a good time-out.

I had bad luck with my order of Virgin Vapors Kona Coffee Milkshake the second time I ordered it. The Caramel Kona Milkshake and Kona Velvet Milkshake were just fine, though. But, the KCM has this funky mothball-ish smell and taste to it - even after more than a month of steeping. I read a big controversy about that tobacco one in the big NET tobacco thread. Saw pics of it, too. YUCK! I wouldn't vape it. I'd ask for a refund on it, if I were you.

Oh I did. They got back to me really soon too. I let them Know that I would steep it while they were on the holiday break and let them know if there was still no change. Their customer service is TOP notch. They are willing to refund or exchange if we are still not happy with it. That is the great thing with vv.

I have had pipe tobacco when I was smoking. I really liked it. but it didn't give me the same thing as cigs did. I really don't mind the smell of actual pipe tobacco smoking. Where as cigs are like the devil. The rive me asthma right away. I can't believe I use to smoke. But when I did it was almost just as much into trying different flavors as I am with vaping. Until the made flavors illegal. It was bad. I would get my normal cigs and the flavored one and chain smoke. YUCK. I am glad to be free of it.

But yes I still enjoy a good smooth tobacco flavor.

From what I understand it looks like that because there's so much tobacco absolute added as a flavor and it seperates when exposed to the cold, so she's adding more alcohol to keep the solution together. That explains why people compare it to cigs since tobacco absolut does a good job of recreating the sensation of smokes. The thing about the TA tho is that many vendors use it for a cig like flavor for a lot cheaper than VV offers. Of course, having not tried it, I don't know if she does other things with the juice to make it special. She does seem like someone who normally puts a lot of thought and care in her products.

That explains why people compare it to cigs since tobacco absolut does a good job of recreating the sensation of smokes. The last time you ordered, was it warmer? I tend to think that temperature of mail is not so much a concern, so if it was shipped during warm weather it is going to steep a bit in the bottle as it travels to you. You might try the warm bath for it and see if that helps also.

But then... you are at the 2 month mark? Your tastebuds may be healing and changing?

It was warmer when I ordered it the other times. So that might be it. And it's been just about 2 months maybe less since I last vaped this flavor. Sorry I may have been confusing. I have been vaping a little over a year. So my taste buds should be good... I think?

OMG.... just after sitting in the clearo all day and I decided I would try it again... and its FINE! To my suprise that wried burnt taste is gone. Nothing but yummy blue cheesecake! *sigh of relief*

sometimes flavors taste different after a short steep (since they're in a smaller amount) in a cart/clear/tank/whatever. Maybe some of the alcohol needed to evaporate.
