Started to vape in January this year (55 years a smoker) and haven't smoked an analog since :)

Went fishing on Lake Superior today and it's a good thing I didn't have any analogs available or I might have fallen off the wagon. While I am very happy with vape in most environments, it seemed today that with the air temp in the 60's and wind blowing about 12-14 knots, that the vape was almost unsatisfactory....like not much vapor and not much taste. Kind of like I needed a much more intense or strong liquid. I was using an Aerotank on an MVP 2.0 and vaping Old Captain.

Looking for thoughts or suggestions as I'll be spending a lot of time on a boat the rest of the summer.

Thanks.

Vaping in a decent wind with no mods and big clouds is zero fun. That's ur setup. Get a mod, and a kraken maybe.

The MVP is a mod o_O did you mean RBA or mech? 'cause with his setup he's probably getting a better vape from his MVP than he would from a mech mod :p

As for OP... Maybe go with something more tailored for flavor? Something like a carto-tank if you don't wanna jump into RBA's. Still won't be seeing the vapor with that much wind but at least you'll be able to taste it :)

I fish almost 3 days a week hard and I hear what your saying.
I bring a dripper built around .5/.6 and a bottle of juice.

Then I carry
A kayfun or taifun and im usually fine. I dont know if your joy riding or stopping like
I do in a 12 hour musky fishing day but I always vape when I stop.
Running and vaping does not give you the same sensation I agree but build a dripper low with
a ton of airflow and you will be good.

Thanks for the feedback. Actually I'm a trout and salmon fisherman, so we are trolling at only 1.5 to 3 mph. So boat speed is not an issue, but wind is another story. I suppose part is not being able to see your vape cloud ?? I have a few drippers but don't want to carry that stuff along. Like to keep the VV or MVP in my pocket and vape at will. Perhaps a carto tank would be the answer but need to do some research as I have never used one.

Thanks again.

I haven't used a carto-tank either, but I work at a B&M and one of the guys I work with uses one and loves it. Pretty much you put a few drops into the carto to prime it, pull the carto down a lil so you can fill the tank, fill it up, pop the carto back into place and you're good to go :) Just gotta make sure your carto has holes punched into it to let the juice flow from the tank to the wick inside.

I vape in the wind on a 26' cruiser all of the time. I use a carto tank. The air vents for cartos are located just above the 510 threading on cartos. When the carto is mounted in the 510 connector on the device the air vents are located just below the top of the 510 connector where they are shielded from wind. My Sigelei Zmax V5 has four air slots in the 510 connector. This doesn't seem to cause problems in the wind.

What or which carto's work for you? Looks like you are answering my question for me and I'll get a few of them. Thanks

I use Smok single coil XL cartos and punch them myself for use in a 22ml XL IBtank. Smok works great for the high percentage VG juice I use. The air vents on cartomizers are standardized so you will find the same kind of venting on other brands like Boge.

Very confusing since I know nothing about carto's and there is no BM Shop where I live in northern Michigan. I think I'll just order what you list here except get the pre-punched cartos and a 15 or 19 mm version. The Aerotanks are 18mm and don't want to go much bigger. Thanks for the suggestion.

I think something is disrupted by the wind or airflow. I don't know anyone that enjoys vaping while walking, for that matter.

I enjoy vaping while walking. I take the dogs out three times per day and generally take my ProVari with me. Neighbors like smelling what I'm vaping each day!:)

The 15mm tanks use thinner glass so the 19s and above might be a better choice for outside use. I have 19mm and 22mm standard IBTanks and they work great. I use the pre-punched Smok cartos, they sell on IBTanked.com and they work great as well. I tryed Boge cartos once and the tasted bad to me. ymmv,
