This subject gets brought up almost monthly.
I just use a clean dry microfiber towel, it gets the most of it off. Then use a glass polish of your choice.
I never smoked with the windows rolled up, I can't imagine how people could do that. That old yellow smoke residue used to be a bear to clean off the upholstery and head liners. Made my eyes burn too if I had the windows rolled up. I still keep my passenger window cracked all the time, the vapor goes out the window away from me. I only need to clean the windshield maybe once a month.
I wonder now if VG is good for the dash - wipe it off the glass and rub it on the dash, I don't know, sounds good..;)
