Happy to find this thread because I was just experiencing the same thing. After driving really old cars for a long time, I just recently bit the bullet and for the first time in 20 yrs I'm making car payments on a 2012 Certified Ford Fusion Hybrid. Was getting ...... off that the defrost wasn't doing it's thing but now I know what the haze is.

I haven't noticed it yet but not been vaping that long. One thing I have noticed tho is a car in front, I've seen some w huge I mean huge clouds of smoke rolling out the window. It has to be vapor because I don't think anyone would be dumb enough to blow that much pot smoke out their car window. I don't think pot could make that much smoke. I bet ppl have been pulled over due to vapor clouds.

I keep hearing about this problem, but have never noticed. Then again, my eyesight isn't that great!

But on a serious note: Never use windex on the inside of your windshield as it makes it fog over easier/quicker in cold weather. Pick up some anti-fogging window cleaner and give that a try. That's what I always use and have never noticed vape buildup. I hope one of you will try that and report if you have the same experience. If so, another vaping problem solved!

Do you have a brand recommendation that you find works?

Only thing I have found that works to take the crud off is a mixture of water and plain old white vinegar. Works like a charm.

I've tried a few different brands of window cleaner and, at least for me, all they do is turn all that stuff into a white film paste that is even harder to get off! I have noticed that they aerosol window cleaner they use at the car wash works pretty well too but windex and stuff, forget it.

Sorry, been too many years to remember what brand I used. I just don't drive that much anymore and if I do, remote start lets me get everything warmed up well before starting out. I picked up a package of the wipes you can leave in the car a few years ago, but they tend to dry out over time. You can get them a lot of places, but I would suggest an auto supply store and ask their preference. I think all brands contain whatever chemical it is that inhibits the fog.

Edit: In clarification, I preferred the spray bottle and treat the inside of windows monthly or so, depending on your needs. Wipes just to have rather then using your hand in "emergency" situations.
