I've been vaping with no ill effects for a few years now, but over the course of the past 6 months or so, I've started having issues.
There are times when I get a (gross, I know) lump of phlegm in the back of my throat that I have a lot of trouble clearing. It gets really irritating, especially when I'm talking to a customer and my voice goes all gravelly. In private, I can grunt and hack to clear it, but in public I can't make all that noise.
I use a Blu Premium 100, which I refill. I know that they exclusively use Johnson Creek juice, and I recently switched to Johnson Creek's Red Oak juice thinking that VG was better for me than the PG, but it seems to have made the problem worse.
Has anyone here had the same issue?
Is this prevalent in certain brands of nic juice or all of them?

I know that personally, whenever I switch from something I have been vaping almost exclusively to anything else, I experience the symptoms you're describing. It usually fades away in a week or so as the throat adjusts.

Hmm, this makes sense. I've been alternating between Blu Disposables and my home-filled VG Blu set. I think the disposables, like the cartomizers they sell are all PG. Between the two my throat is probably having a hard time adjusting.

I have been vaping 3-1/2 months. About 1 month ago I went from an 80/20 PG/VG blend to a 65/35 blend. Over the course of the last few weeks I came to realize that I had more junk in my throat and hack up more junk. I did not have this issue before changing PG/VG blends. I believe it just might be a result of more VG in my juice. In my most recent purchase, I went back to an 80/20 blend, and hope that within a week or so this situation will reverse itself. I don't know if this answers the OP's question, but will see what happens.
