what makes you go to a vape shop? the juice lines they carry? the customer service? the mods? do you like for a company to make more flavors of their own juice line or just limited stock of theirs and more of the other guys? do you like having juice made in house to your specs and convince? or waiting days for juice to be stocked? do you think vape shops should setup VIP bins for regular customers? like set x amount of bottles of their favorite juice to help with the HIGH demand? or is that "too special"?

Vape shops in general, I like the convenience of walking in and walking out with product in hand. I like seeing and holding the product before I buy. Yes online can be less costly but I like to have my gear immediately.

In terms of specific shops, price is an issue. Some charge a lot more for identical items. For example, Nautilus BVC coils are $16 for 5 at almost every store near me. Then the guy that sells the same for 18 doesn't get my business.

Convenience of location also factors in. If it's close to my travels.

My preferred vape shop is owned by a friend of a friend and they were the ones that started me on vaping. I actually got a free starter kit and then eventually transitioned into another set up. For me, it's about loyalty. I want to support the small business that helped me in the first place.

However, I have been into quite a few other vape shops, and the one thing that will keep me from coming back is the customer service and the atmosphere. I prefer the shops that feel like a lounge, not a store. And I've had quite a few defective mods that a certain shop has refused to replace, so I don't go back. I stick with the tried and true. If you make your customers feel like family, they'll keep coming back.

As far as a "VIP" bin for regulars, I feel like that could create problems. My shop will usually give a 10% to their regulars along with a free 30mL every x amount of dollars spent.

We have two vape shops near me in my city. One of them has a couple of locations in the middle Ga area, the other is a one-off store.

The one-off store I will never go back in after the first visit because it was clear to me they are the type of store that just opened to make a quick buck. The owner has never heard of Cassa before or knew what HB 907 was. All they kept trying to do was sell me the "bestest" .2 ohm coil for the "new best tank on the market" even though I told them I don't sub-ohm.

The other! I go in all the time! Great CS, great employees, great stock at mostly Internet prices. Though I mostly DIY and have my nirvana set up, I do go in there to let them try my newest creation or maybe to grab a bottle of something I had a sudden itch for. Like I did yesterday. For some reason I had a craving for a bottle of one of their in house tobacco flavors. Yum!

I go in shop to buy hardware. Had problems with Canada Post multiple times with regular mail, i'm not going to test my luck with 200+ bucks worth gear with those guys. Lived all around EU and never had so much problems with mailing service as i'm having with Canada Post. The worst thing is, even when you call customer service, they are protecting those delivery guys and make it all look like it's my fault. Unbelievable...

I've not bought any juice on line simply because I've got weird buds that refuse to taste what others think scrumptious. They've even learned in the many local shops I visit NOT to try out a new juice on me. I do buy the juices I do like locally but anything else may be bought on line.

Consequently, I've not had to toss a juice I didn't like and I do support the shops which are important to help brand new vapers get their feet on the ground.......provided the shops are excellent in customer service and cleanliness.

Hubby buys my vaping gifts locally as well since he hasn't a clue about on line buying......which I didn't either before vaping.......The Ides of March are coming up. Wonder what he'll pop for. Ha! :)

I went into a B&M a couple days ago because I knew they had parts for Kafuns, I needed a clear tank section. Usually I go in them to just look around and see what's out there, as I vape away on an RBA or re-built coil heads enjoying my pennies per bottle DIY juice, so yeah, I'm pretty much a "time waster" for the shop employees.

I like vape shops with a wide selection of equipment and a friendly environment for older low power vapers. unfortunately these can be hard to find.

choochoogranny, Try Zamplebox they give you juice monthly based on your taste buds, lol. I get between 80-160ml of juice for $24.99 a month saving me 70% on juice and can try different companies ejuice based on my flavors. COOL RIGHT?!

Thank you for the suggestion, Todd Larson :) ; but because I chain vape, I go through at least twice the 160 ml per month. I do have about 25 different juices found in the B&M's in the Chattanooga vacinity that suits my palette and new ones are introduced regularly.

Recently found that I can cut the store bought in half with my own mix of unflavored and still taste enough flavor to satisfy. It could be that the mfg. is using more flavor in the 3ml-6ml heavily vg blends for cloud making because vg is not a good flavor carrier and needs more. Just guessing here. It also could be that the ol' buds are changing once again.

In any case, I love to visit "my shops" and do a bit of visiting with my "vaping friends". :) Vaping has become my occupation AND entertainment. Ha!

I thank my local vape stores for forcing me to DIY and shop online preferably overseas.
The rampant lack of professionalism, astronomic, prices and downright lies, drove me out. (keep in mind, I was the guy that repaired the customers mechanicals....for 3 stores).
The shops are geared to extract money from beginning vapers, by selling them entry level gear at 10x the going rate.

They offer nothing to the informed vaper.

I hate going to vape stores. Won't ever do it again. Too many uninformed idiots. I've actually had an owner tell me there aren't any 510 adapters and no one ever made em. I already had 2 different varieties at home. What's so difficult about asking someone if you don't know? I guess his price was more important than making a sale that day. I hit the onlines and I never looked back.

Last vape shop I stopped in was a Vape Shop/Tattoo parlor. The vape gear surrounded a tattoo chair where an over weight woman was getting a tramp stamp. Maybe it's just me but I don't want to buy my vape supplies in the shadow of someones bare, bleeding back and exposed ... crack (It would have to be a superbly attractive female ... sans blood for me to enjoy that and given the minute percentage of actually attractive people there are on the planet, odds are, that aint happening) and the guy with the bloody tissue is asking "How can I help you?" Luckily another person came over to help but she offered no help at all. When asked if they had any Redbull flavors, she said "Check the printed listed. If its not there, then no." That summed it up for me and I went on my way.
