Great question. Actually i smoked very rarely about 5 years ago. Nothing since then so its possible my body doesn't like the nicotine. I write so i thought it would be like caffeine and give me a small kick of clarity. I don't plan on vaping much. Just mornings like a coffee.

I opted for nic 6mg as i was told it was low. Do you thinkI might have to go out and get 3mg juice?

If you never smoked anything is possible. Nicotine can make you queasy if it's brand new to your system. I was a smoker when I started. For the first few weeks vaping was causing very mild queasiness. I figured that would pass and it did.

If you never smoked but you must vape please don't bother with nicotine. It's really not psychoactive like all those other substances ((that-shall-not-be-mentioned)).

Yeah it's odd. Like about 5 years ago i bought some virginia tobacco and i was fine. no nausea. before that I hadn't had a rolled cigarette in 7 years.

This time i thought, 6mg would be nice and low as i was told 12mg was for light cigarettes.

But I think i might go out tomorrow and buy 0 nic bottle and 3 mg bottle and see how i do.

I was vaping Canada eclouds melon glory. Didn't like it too much. Very sweet.

Used a joyetech. Over 1 hour took around 7 hits,no more than that

6mg nic( 70 vg, 30 pg )

Felt nauseated so i stopped.

is that normal?

Is 6mg too high?

What did you use for the vape gear? If you took monster hits it could be the nicotine since you are a non smoker but my money is on something in the e-Liquid like the flavorings. Hope you feel better and if it went away pretty fast that would kind of rule out an allergic reaction.

There is no one size fits all with vaping. I smoked ultra lights, needed 24mg to off the cigs. Started dropping quickly after the first month. When quitting, it takes what it takes on an individual basis.

In your case, try buying a bottle of the same juice in 0mg. Mix 50/50 with your 6mg to get it down to 3mg. If that too much, add a little more 0mg until you get what works for you. Good luck! :)

6mg was too much for me at first too, so I switched to 3. But after realizing I was vaping to much I moved back up to 6mg again. It actually allows me to vape less.. go figure.

I experienced the same exact symtoms you did. I think it has to do with your body getting used to the new Nic delivery system. After about a week, it went away for me but of course YMMV.

Here's an idea...don't vape, it's not like you needed to in the first place.
I understand what you are saying but that's like saying to someone who has never had a beer and then picked the strong can. Don't drink alcohol, it's not like you need to. You would tell them to try a light beer not avoid it. There are vapers out there who only vape 0 mg. I started at 6mg on the guidance of someone who asked if i had smoked before.

I asked a few questions and did not see any of the answers posted and I have one more. What flavor was the e-Liquid you tried?
Hi it was a joyetech eGo AIO and the flavor was 70vg, 30pg by canada eclouds melon glory ( kind of sweet )

I took about 4 small hits, then i took about 3 big ones.

The nasuea went away by late evening. Today it's gone. I will try 3mg and 0mg.

What ohm and wattage are you vaping at?? The lower the ohm or higher the wattage the lower the nic level needs to be.

Example: I was a PAD 40 year smoker. and vape UNregulated. So the ohm determines the watts.
When I started vaping I used 20 to 24mg/ml juice and 2-2.5ohm coil

Now 2 years later. I basically use the same amount of nic per day. BUT since I now vape at lower ohm and thus higher wattage and use more juice per day. I have had to reduce the mg/ml level to lower levels.

I use 12mg for build of 1.2ohms or more, below 12 watts.
from 1ohm to 1.2 I use 10mg/ml
and .5ohm to 1ohm 8mg/ml or less

I get the nausea if I chain vape say the 12mg/ml juice on a .8ohm coil, 20watts. But drop it to 6-8 I can vape as much as I want.

So I suggest you dilute your juice with zero nic juice or raise the ohm rate or lower the wattage.
