Time to take a look at the Vapefly Brunhilde SBS 100W Mod which was sent to me by my friends over at Sourcemore for the purposes of the review.

THE MENU:
There are a small number of button sequences to remember to operate this device:
5 clicks of the fire button will turn the device on and off.
3 clicks of the fire button will allow you to adjust between Wattage, Bypass and TC.
Press & Hold Fire & – adjustment button to flip display
Press & hold + & – button to lock the power output (Will still fire)
UNBOXING AND FIRST IMPRESSIONS:
As usual with Vapefly the packaging is pretty good,here is a list of the contents of what was in the box:

While holding the mod i was reminded of the high end cars i like to read for reviews when i am browsing the internet.
For example take a Rolls-Royce and a Ford Fiesta,both cars with 4 wheels that will take you safely to your destination but there is where all that they have in common ends.
Same can be said about this mod and others,sure another cheaper mod will allow you to vape but the attention to detail,build quality and the sensation of a well made product won't be there.
This is all that i am thinking about when holding the Brunhilde SBS 100w Mod,this mod feels heavy and well made.
I spent like 10 minutes just looking at it and rotating and turning it so i could appreciate all the details of this beautiful mod.
From the Laser Engraving to the small details will make you appreciate the work done to design and produce this mod.
VAPING TIME:
Unfortunately since i reviewed the Vapefly Kriemhild II 2 Sub Ohm Tank (the one that matches this mod) before i had ran out of coils so i had to look and see what tank i could fit on it.
I am clumsy so all the straight glass i have for my atomizers broke and the atomizers i have with a bubble tank won't fit in the mod.
FYI: You can fit an atomizer up to 26.5 mm in this mod,25 would be the best choice so you don't get any over hang.
Well i was stuck between a rock and a hard place,with a mod but no atomizer to try it with.
Remembered i had a Brunhilde MTL RTA that a friend gave me as gift.
So i took it out of the box,put a coil and wicked and put it on the mod.
Time to fire it up!!
Like many SBS devices the screen is located on the base of the device that allows for a compact design and a slicker device.
This is my first SBS mod so the first day of using it just felt odd...i had to hold the mod differently than others.
And depending on what atomizer you use with this mod you might have to pay attention so you don't over the airflow with your hand.
I used the mod all day and it performed admirably but yet i felt like the awkwardness was a cloud lingering over me all day long.
The next day i decided to use the mod all day to see if i would get use to the way you need to operate this mod...but yeah it was a no go for me.
If i held the mod one way the battery cap would brush against my chin,if i rotated the mod then it would be close/barely touched my ''moustach'' area.
This could be more of a personal issue,maybe with another atomizer i wouldn't feel this way but nonetheless i didn't really enjoy using this mod.
PROS
-Build Quality is superb.
-Laser engraving is a nice tough to detail.
-You can use a 21700 battery in this mod,perfect if you want to vape at high wattages.
-Aesthetically speaking this is one beautiful mod.
-Display is old school,no razzle dazzle...sometimes less is more.
CONS
-Can't really think of any that don't apply to anyone else,my cons is just that i don't seem to be one to enjoy SBS mods.
Tilting the mod to look at the screen,pressing the buttons to adjust the wattage just felt unnatural to me.
WOULD I RECOMMEND THIS MOD:
If you're a SBS type mod user then yes this is one mod you have to own.
From the quality of the build to it's hefty weight to the overrall attention to detail this is one mod that deserves a spot in your permanent collection.
