I have this tank for a month and I regret buying it...It is definitely tank for those that like very tight draw...airflow control is very inconvenient and only let you make tight draw ... tighter... and it is pretty loose so it is easy for accidental change... flavor is OK when properly wicked but wicking is not easy... wicking holes are very small... I would gladly swap my Vapefly Galaxies for Siren, Dvarw, Savour or Doggystyle...

Well I have mine now. I've gone through a tank and a half and must say I'm quite happy with it. Definitely up there with Siren v2 and Berserker, possibly even better?
I have both of the airflow holes open at the largest opening and it's perfect for me. I would agree with the above that if you prefer a looser draw then it's not for you.
I find the wicking very similar to the berserker. It took me a few tries to figure out the best way to wick the berserker so I was able to wick the vapefly correctly first time.
I got the updated version too which has a PEK insulator on the deck and tighter afc dials. So far they haven't accidentally changed in my pocket or anything.

I ordered the Vapefly Galaxies MTL RTA From FastTech a couple of weeks ago. It has been shipped and is somewhere in limbo at this time. Hope it gets here soon. Can someone suggest a modest build for it. I have Kanthal and SS wire. Looking forward to using it and seeing how it is. This is my first RTA.
Thanks

What tank and drop in coill you use now? What wire gauges you have?

Galaxies allow you to easily install a lot of different coils because deck is relatively large (not as tiny as doggystyle or dwarv)... bigger challenge is properly wick the coil... if coil you build will have large inside diameter (3mm) you will have to trim wick ends because wicking bays are small with small holes... if you force too much cotton you will have poor wicking and risk dry hit if you put too little you will get flooding...as a first RTA Galaxies is not easiest in this regard.

I have had this for a few weeks now.
It is actually a very nice RTA for MTL.

Only major thing to complain is setting the airflow, those two dials move very easily, every time you take it from your pocket they have moved and you have to set them again.

Dials are also very small, and if you want other side airflow fully closed like I do it is bit tricky to set.

Smaller complain is the drip tip, too wide for me. All 510 fit so this is easy to overcome.

After those everything else is good:
Solid flavor, moist vapor, smooth airflow, not as tight or silent as Berserker but tighter than KF Prime and just tight enough for me.

Very simple to build, no leaks and no gurgle after filling.

For kanthal my recommendation would be 5 wraps with 26 gauge wire at 2.5mm inner diameter that will give you 0.7ohm if you preffer SS use 11 wraps with 26 gauge wire at 2.5 ID that will give you 0.7ohm coil. You can vape both coils at 14-18 watts.

Thanks so much for the recommendations. I think I will make a couple of each and see what I like the best.

Tracking shows mine is in New York City. Looks like it still has to clear customs. Tracking estimates Friday delivery. Looking forward to trying it out.

You'll probably need to play with a few to find you preferred, but here's mine:

7 wraps, 2.5mm, 28G kanthal. Comes out to around 1.3 ohms.

Have fun. ;)

My local PO delivered my Vapefly Galaxies RTA yesterday. Purchased it from Fast Tech and took 19 days to get here. Did the scratch off to verify and checked out as authentic. I am impressed with the quality of the machining and fit of all parts. It came with extra O rings, grub screws, bubble glass, another drip tip, 3 in 1 screw driver and a couple of coils and cotton. Did not use the supplied coils, I installed a kanthal 28G 7 wrap 2.5 ID as suggested by ShaneR42. Comes out to about 1.2 ohms. I have it going at 9 watts and am surprised at the amount of vapor I am getting. It came with the block with 2 holes installed so I figured that was a good place to start, set the AC dials to 1 and 3. The draw is pretty nice for me. In the future I will experiment with the other air block and the AC dials. So far I am very happy with it. :)
