Vapeing when you first wake up

Anyone else cough like crazy when they first wake up and try to vape?

I've been like that with cigs also, I smoked for many a years now and quit BUT, I would wake up and try a drag or so from the cig and cough a lot unless I took small hits. The cigs also made me super light headed and dizzy in the early morning drags after sleep.

The vaporizer just makes me cough a lot when I hit it after I get up it seems to bother me even a few hours after like I just have to cough for a bit then I can do it fine after.

I might try 100%vg no nic juice, I'm currently using 60/40 6% nic juice cause the crappy shops here only do 60/40 and I hate them and am waiting on juice I ordered online. Drinking water also stops the coughing from being as long lol but doesn't seem to help at all.

questions comments anything you've seen?

I've seen people mention this a few times on here. Granted, for me, I feel it hits me in the throat a little harder when I first wake up, but I don't cough from vaping when I wake up. I have used 100% vg unflavored and max vg and 3mg in a flavored e-juice and had the same result.

+1. I have however found if I turn the watts down and take shorter vapes, it's not as bad. Then just work my way back up to my sweet spot.

I always cough after the first puff than I'm fine. Every time though...

I feel the throat hit in the morning and sometimes get hiccups. No coughing though. Usually just the first few puffs.

I always coughed a few every morning with my first cig, with vaping I haven't coughed at all with my first morning vape as long as I have something to drink like coffee. I do tend to hit the vape a bit hard first thing and get a small headache from too much nic and the occasional rouge hiccup but they are short lived. After eating something the vape tends to get a bit harsh for the first few puffs, but thats the way it is.

Never ever had this problem in 3 years of vaping. I vape 70/30 PG/VG 18 mg nic. Maybe what you describe is a side effect of using a lot of VG?

I never cough when vaping. My cough is completely gone. Vaping 75/25 at 0nic now.

I could not have answered the Ops question a few weeks ago. I had never kept my setup near-by and always shower/dress/etc. and get going before ever reaching the table with the Mod sitting at the ready. Never had an issue.
Now that I am on WC and moving much slower I set the Mod on the bathroom counter. I have found my lungs need a few deep breaths first or I might cough a few times.

Maybe it is just a need to get the mechanics functioning first.

I cough 90% of the time on my first morning vape.
After a few sips of coffee or some other caffeinated beverage I'm good to go.
I blame the coffee.

I had this problem for probably the first month or so of vaping, I don't think it has anything to do with the nic, although it might have something to do with PG/VG ratio. Mostly I think it was just not being used to it.

I don't use nic most of the time. I do find the first vape of the day is better at less power. Taste buds are not acusttomed to it so there is a flavor boost for me. I've never coughed though.

I'm with crxess. I don't hit mine until after I've showered, dressed, and have my first cup of coffee in my hand. I didn't smoke until then and I don't vape until then. My normal 50/50 juices don't bother me in the morning but my high VG can make me cough for the first 3 or 4 hits. When I smoked, I would probably cough through the first cigarette.

I have to take a few gentle puffs first thing in the morning or I cough. It goes away a lot quicker than it did with the stinkies, though.

I dont cough but if my watts are too high I'll get hicups and I carnt vape till they've passed

The first wake up puff is usually pretty rough...some coffee or water helps some.
My big problem is when I try to talk after pulling in and cough like no tomorrow...I always seem to forget.
