Is it true regarding the UK not adopting the EU regulations? If so,.that's good news for friends there.

UK has taken a different position on vaping than the rest of the world. Government bodies support vaping. The latest endorsement came from UK National Centre for Smoking Cessation and Training, who is now suggesting to stop smoking services to encourage smokers use electronic cigarettes as a way to quit smoking.

Here's a quote on regulations:
"While there could theoretically still be changes, the UK Department of Health’s statement on the completed consultation suggests that the government favours light-touch regulation when it legislates to transpose the European Union’s tobacco Products Directive (EU TPD) before the 20th May deadline."
