I am absolutely loving vaping, as I say in every post. I use a VAMO, with either a stacked 18350 or a single 18650 battery (depending on which is charged at the time), vaping at 7-8 watts with a Protank II. For the past few weeks I've been vaping 100% VG from Velvet Cloud Vapors (specifically Harvest Berry and Sour Skittles.) I'm not a huge fan of PG -- I never liked the burning feeling in my throat anyway, and I love big clouds.

However, I've noticed I've been having to clear my throat ALL the time. It's kind of gross to the people around me I think. Anyone experienced this? I know lots of people say they're glad they don't have smoker's cough anymore, but isn't vaper's phlegm nearly as bad? :p

I've never even had this problem, but I do use about a 60-70% PG mix ... I like the throat hit :)

High VG'll do it. Lower your juices to around 20% VG and you'll be happier and less phlemy.
I have a tickle in my throat right now. Just made up a 120ml bottle of 50/50 from some base and pg/vg I had around.
I'm not used to such high VG and I remember when I vaped 100% VG years ago how it'd make my lungs hurt + caugh.

I use 100% VG and haven't had the phlegm issue but if I exhale through my nose it sprays water. Yeah, I'm no help.

Hahaha, you made me laugh!

Drink water.

I do. Vaping has encouraged me to drink a lot more water than I used to, which is a really good thing, but that's not the issue here.

As everyone noted, it is probably likely due to the high amount of VG I vape, but I *really* don't like the extra throat hit from PG, nor do I like the super strong flavor. I get sick of 50/50 flavors very quickly because the flavor is too strong for me. And VCV is the only company that has flavors I've been able to stick with for more than a week. :\ And they only sell 100% VG.

I've noticed that after gaping for so long that the phlegm tends to go away. Usually with higher VG I noticed that I tended to get sort of a coating that would cause me to feel like I had more phlegm too. That and sometimes flavours that were really strong did it too. It really all depends but I would just keep at it and see if the problem goes away after a while. For me it was a good couple of months before it went away so who knows. If you like gaping then just keep doing it!
