I thought I would post a pic of this eBaron on my Grand since I haven't saw any. This thing vapes great, hits hard, lots of flavor, but it looks like it's ready to shoot paint balls or something. I didn't use NR/R/NR. It's just a 2.1 ohm old school coil made out of 30 gauge with a doubled 2mm silica wick. Actually the coil has legs like a granddaddy, so that 2.1 isn't really the same as a 2.1 on something else.

It looks fine - but i always shied away from that NR-R-NR deal too. 'Oh buy a wire welder, or just knot it together, it's easy!' Meh.

Why would i buy a mod that i can clean in a sink and then have to spend 40 minutes farting about to make a coil for it? So i run ugly coils, which are easy and reliable.

My only issue with tops like that is - i like to swap driptips.

I haven't decided if I wanna invest in the right wire and and stuff. I was going to buy a box of pre-made coils and some new insulators so I would have some spares. It's pretty much like rebuilding a Protank head, so it isn't that hard. A Protank doesn't usually use NR/R/NR, but they should. Most of the time when people think they are burning their juice, it's the legs of their coil burning their coil burning their insulators. I'm gonna play with it some more, but I'm kinda over rebuilding Protank heads. I've got the original Spiral cap for it too, so I can change drip tips.

I still have some silver NR wire floating around here someplace! I'd forget all that NR-R-NR hassle and just get a decent bottom fed RDA to build on.

Looking at your first pic - you have an original Reo and so you need something like a milled RM2, or such to fit it. Atty has to be about 14mm. There is a (rather long) sticky thread on this topic at the top of the forum.
