Vaping ain't the same as smoking when drinking alcohol.

OK hear me out - I have been vaping for about 4 Months now, I have a Ego-T + Ego-W, didn't like the Vivi Nova at all, its the king of dry hits.

I have not been able to completely ween off analogs just as yet - every now then I will go on a buy a pack and so on, but most of the time I vape apple flavored juice on a Ego-T or W, but the biggest issue is when it comes to drinking alcohol, it just isn't the same.

My question to experienced vapers/noobs is - do you enjoy vaping or smoking when it comes to drinking?

I have found that nothing beats a cigarette, a good ol marlboro light when enjoying whisky or beer or any alcohol for that matter.

I introduced a friend of mine to vaping recently and he is experiencing the same issue - vaping just doesn't do it for us when it comes to drinking.

Try higher nicotine when drinking and/or a VV device....that will make all the difference.

Give it some time. Once you drop the analogs completely it won't be the problem it is now.I'm at three and a half years and I think that went away about 3 years ago.

Sounds like you need to try a few more delivery devices and juices. Sure, it's tough at first...Let's face it, we drank and smoked cigs for years. They go together out of habit. You just gotta get into a new groove. There are plenty of devices and delivery devices out there now that should get you on the right track. And I agree with the above post on upping your nic when you plan on having a few beers. It will help with the hit and the mental aspect of it as well.

I have been using an ecig for over 4 years and when i buy a pack of analog cigarettes and smoke in the bars I end up chain smoking because I hardly ever put the ecig down and my nicotine level is high. After 6-7 cigarettes I feel like I'm about to fall asleep at the bar. I think it's the carbon monoxide in the analogs. I used to chain smoke in the bars before the ecig but I guess I had a greater resistance to carbon monoxide then.

I normally vape 11 or 12mg nic but when I drink I bump it up to 18 for the greater throat hit. I do miss the analog after a shot of whiskey though. They seemed to soothe my throat.

Like others have said play with the nic level but I think you need to find a flavor that really goes well with your beverage. I'm a drinker and love vaping while drinking. Just gotta find the right drinking flavor. There have been quite a few threads recently on what flavors go well with beer. Try those.

jericoriver hit the nail right on the head. you admit to still smoking every now and then. you are not completely off of analogs. once you part with them completely, you will crave them less and less. drinking or not, i never consider smoking cigs, it never crosses my mind. if you transition to vaping 100% it will get easier for you. good luck!!!

I prefer vaping when I drink also, but I find I go to my stronger juices when I get tipsy..the only time I smoked was when I drank and it was cigars..vaping has filled the void completely and i'll never go back to cigars..some people just need that cigarette though..

I had the same problem. I started with 24mg juice and STILL wanted that cigarette when out drinking. It didn't help that I was surrounded by smokers. I have found that if I don't take a fruity/sweet flavor out with me and stick with Tribeca or Torque 56 from Halo, I can fight the craving a lot easier.

+1 for upping the nicotine. The closest thing I have seen to an analog is the Njoy King. Its a crazy 4.2%. or 42mg. Same hit and rush as an analog. Maybe pick one of those up for drinking? Also is very small and light and feels most like an analog compared to anything else I have seen personally.

I agree with all the advice given. I drink heavily pretty much every weekend and what worked for me was upping the nic level and chain vaping. The awesome thing about vaping is that I was able to toot it all night while inside the club.

I just started vaping again this week. We have a kegorator, with some really good beer in it (long trail double bag) and I honestly like vaping better while drinking. I just up the nicotine level! I been using 18mg for reg use, and I had a bottle of 24 kicking about, that I use while drinking... Haven't had any urge to smoke whatsoever!

It's simply a fact that alcohol reduces nicotine absorption by up to 15%. So like stated by others, simply increase your mg per ml ratio when you know you're gonna be knockin back brewskis. Good luck

i had the hardest time officially quitting smoking because of drinking. you're right, its not the same...it feels and tastes different and when you drink, you crave that. i was using a standard ego 600 mah and it didnt cut it for me. until i bought an ego twist and some lr cartos. and 24mg juice helps.

Same goes for me, I even vape more due to the mixed taste than I used to puff analogs (at least 2 packs in an evening) together with beer. Give it some time and as everyone said, try different nic levels and you'll see. I allways use 24 mg and litle more power on the vv at the bar

Yeah vaping is way better when i drink. And i vape so much more. Its the bestest ever ever.
