I have pretty bad acid reflux. Since they say stopping smoking can reduce or even stop acid reflux, I was curious what vaping (and stopping analogs) did for others. Did you see a reduction in the symptoms or did your acid reflux stay the same? I'm thinking about dropping the analogs when I get my new PV. I would also be curious to hear from some one with acid reflux that didn't smoke analogs before vaping and see if it makes it worse. Let me know your mileage. Thanks.

I have many posts here about how I beat reflux disease. I vape 100VG and have no problems at all.

Got off nexium which I was on for 15 years. Long story short, did a full elimination/hypo allergenic diet via a nutritionist. It wasn't easy, but it was worth it. Once we cut out the culprit (for me it was dairy and soy, hydrogenated vegetable oils and high-fat food. ) I was able to stop taking my meds completely. Been a year now, reflux disease has never returned. I can't say what will work for you only what worked for me.

Anti acids is the #1 selling OTC in America. Ever wonder why? It's food, processed stuff mostly.

Now, I can eat spaghetti sauce, citrus, coffee, and all the things 5 gastro-enterologists told me I have to avoid. It wasn't those things at all.

Just read on this forum earlier this evening (Can't remember what thread I was in) where a poster said that his/her Dr. told him/her that he wanted him/her to vape lower nic in the evenings because nicotine relaxes the muscle that prevents acid reflux.

Maybe Google can help find if that was an accurate diagnosis?

Quick search found this...

Doctors say that smoking contributes to GERD by:

Relaxing the lower esophageal sphincter. Nicotine tends to relax smooth muscle inside the body. One of the body's main defenses against GERD is the lower esophageal sphincter, a tight ring of muscle that connects the esophagus and the stomach. The sphincter regulates passage of food into the stomach, and prevents acid from refluxing into the esophagus. When nicotine causes the sphincter to relax, there's an increased risk of acid surging into and damaging the esophagus.

Reducing salivation. Saliva contains an acid-neutralizing substance called bicarbonate, which helps fight the effects of acid reflux and GERD. Basically, when you swallow your saliva, it helps quell whatever acid damage is taking place due to reflux. Smokers produce less saliva, and so have less ability to neutralize refluxed acid.

This was from a 2009 article and I didn't look at any other links. Just something to get you started.

(one being coffee/vanilla, sweet tarts type flavor, and bobas bounty)

off subject, but I find i like a little sweet tarts flavor once in a while......have you found a good one? ?The ones I've tried were NOT even close to smooth, almost annoyingly irritating, actually.
